The irony is that folks will presume the apartments are "too expensive," and not that the government debauched the money system.

The address is wrong on Housing Connect. Drove by it this morning. I highly suspect the correct address is 37-05. It's on the corner of 30th Street and 37th Ave. It is not searchable on google maps, but here is a link across the street from it. You can use street view to see it. 37-10 30th St, Long Island City, NY 11101 https://goo.gl/maps/tu1XoHmqYf4TyvyQ7

I give or take your not from the city originally, This is a housing lottery system and 80% of the housing that’s on housing connect are in gentrified places where 10 years ago it was the absolute pits. Now if you wanna pay 3k every month for a one bed room while there’s not even a super market 3 blocks from the building so do it!

After much digging I see that it comes up under 37-11 30 at but there are no pics since the previous properties were businesses that have since been demo. The unfortunate thing is that it’s flush outside of the train so that will be a thing every day.

Default Insane Pricing

I recently gave up on HC and moved to a very cute 1bd, ~700 sq ft. I live 30 seconds away from this property and my rent is nowhere near as high as their asking price. I am so confused as to how is this affordable. The asking price seems high for the neighborhood. Regardless, I do love the area.

I've been noticing most of the new buildings being posted on HC have crazy high rents. I'm wondering if its due to how high the market is right now
