Welcome to Manifest Destiny and its friends, 2013.

Trash the educational system and most people will not even know what this was, much less the consequences of this powerful set of assumptions in the contemporary world.

Taxes have been reduced also since the 90s. Although still high, they are moving in the opposite direction we are moving.

Sweden has a demographics trend -- in about 30 years, at this pace, immigrants will be the majority of their population. Many were attracted to Sweden by its freebies (social programs), and have become - Swedes call them parasytes. Hence, gasp liberals, reduction, rollbacks of social programs. Did I mention that the pension system in Sweden is private??
What an embarrasing coment!

Sweden has a greater wealth disparity than the US?
That's the most absurd thing I've read in a while..
Of course it doesn't.

When things go badly wrong which is the case with this country it's time to choose a different path like wise humans would do. Right now USA is like a moth to a flame.

You say I am wrong, yet you make the same argument

Loopholes? Who creates them? Isn't Congress part of the Govt? Subsidies for businesses? Who do they benefit? Farm bill, which is made in the name of the poor, a.k.a. Nutritious food for food stampees? Big agrobusiness benefits. Bank bailouts by our Govt? Who benefited? Govt's intereference in the housing market? Who benefitted? The poor or the rich?

Ask yourself the question -- who benefits from our Govt programs? Obviously not the poor -- poverty rate remains the same. So what has gone up? (Rhetorical question).

Answer is wealth disparity. Marx knew this almost two centuries ago. Govt does things in the name of the people, yet the real benefactors are the ruling class. Why? Because the Govt is the ruling class. And those ain't you and me.

The government is not the ruling class and has not been for some time.

The meaningful loopholes are not created. They are located, exploiting the presence of assumptions that were not previously covered by (government) regulation.

Subsidies are the least of anyone's worries.

List of countries by income equality - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Your chart is about income inequality, NOT wealth disparity. Two very different things. Go read again.

Different path will not happen. There is "America" and everything else is "commie" theory.
"Anti-American."

And some of the wealthiest laugh, all of the way to the bank. Because people could smarten up. They just don't.

You probably don't understood too how "small" subsidies, from oil companies to greenies, further enrich the rich. Subsidies are not there by accident. Neither are the loopholes. Sure they throw a few crumbs toward the middle class and the poor, to keep their mouths shut and keep watching the Kardashians, which you so rightly pointed out.
