Anyone here remember the stretch of shootings that occurred during a week on July of 2012? And the "bloodbath" during Labor Day weekend of 2011? 67 ppl were shot during that whole entire weekend.

It's funny you say that seeing as how when there was more of your kind of diversity in this city, there was far more crime... we continue to see a reduction in crime year after year after year. Furthermore, if this city wasn't filled with oblivious out-of-towners who drive the already minimal crime rate up, our crime rate would become nearly non-existent...

And yet, it seems as if every year the crime rate continues to drop, people use any scary statistic to suit their agenda... "2 killed in mass bloodshed across the city"... Do you people hear yourselves...

This city used to average between 7-8 murders a day when there was far less people than there is now... We are down to less than 1 murder a day in a city of over 8 million... That is a testament to our police force, who although we may not always agree with their methods, get the job done better than any other city in this country... Seventh and others who agreed with his points are right on the money, most of you on here couldn't give two cents about the gang banger losing his life and honestly why should you... This false sense of concern is only one of two things IMO, a longing for the old days of higher crime rates and cheaper rents to return, or two an agenda for or against (insert any one of the following: this city, the mayor, police force, stop and frisk, gentrification, etc.)

Some people here would probably like to see crime go up in the city to spite the mayor and his policies.

That could not be more obvious.
