Bloomberg was correct in saying New York is a luxury product, and luxury products are not for everyone. If you’d rather live in a discount burg, go live there instead of bewailing the laws of the marketplace. Do you walk into a new Toyota showroom with $499 and expect them to come up with a car for you? There is no constitutional right that everyone who wants to live in New York can.
Just an attempt to get the working class to fight each other instead of the companies getting millions in tax breaks. We're still giving oil companies tax breaks despite billions in profit, I don't see the Post writing about that.
This is the entitlement mentality of today. Everyone feels they are entitled to the best of everything. The author sums it up best when he asks if you can get a new Toyota for $500, because that's all you have.

When did NYC give oil companies huge tax breaks. Oh wait, you mean the federal government.
NYC post reporting on NYC issues, what's the big deal?
Then don't force city workers to HAVE to live in this hell hole.
No one held a gun to your head and forced you to accept that job as a city worker. Maybe you should take your intellect and go find a city job in another city? Rinsing the city of miserable schmucks like you will be one step in the right direction.

Oil companies are of more use to the city, the country, and the world than the welfare set. Oil companies create jobs, increase standard of living, build cities and put food on someone's table. The takers suck more money out of the system than the worth of their economic output.
There is a reason why people in oil-rich Qatar are rich an happy.
