I agree, but there has to be another hole in the wall in manhattan for $1600 where she can at least see if the fridge works before she moves in. If the fridge doesn't work then she's stuck arguing with the landlord about getting it fixed. If she has to get a hot plate and microwave (or electric stove) anyway, she might as well buy a dorm size fridge and at least know that it works. Seems dodgy even for manhattan rip off artists. At least we know they have to provide running water .

Who cares why! Don't be so judgmental. I don't know why people don't realize what someone values someone else won't and will value something else. We all are our own person with different minds.

We cool, but I disagree wit u

This is a mess

She should not be moving into no apartment that doesnt have a gas stove

I'm sorry but this aint Suffolk County where they aint run gas lines yet

Smh

NYC is expensive, everybody paying a premium

No gas stove

Smh! for 1600 just to say you live in Manhattan! Personally I cant do it

If I ever live in Manhattan I will be making over $1M a year, and I'm serious

I wouldnt live in Manhattan any other way

I never said she should or shouldn't be moving in. Its her choice. What she is willing to accept, she has to figure out.
I paid $1600 about 8 years ago for a 250 sq ft apartment. It had hot plates. For me at that time it worked for me. I worked 2 blocks away, rarely was home, worked for my personal live, etc etc.

I'm not comparing, I'm letting her know there are many people who live like that.

I don't know why she keeps posting, probably because like many others she wants simply want she can't get on her budget. Though I have seen her grown over the months with her posts and I think she knows realistically what she can get with her budget.
But the thing is people didn't use to have the internet, didn't have ways to do research like we do know and people have been renting for centuries.
