Yeah...just watched De Blasio on MSNBC now and he's saying New Yorkers should be prepared for a shut down. He didn't say definitely. Just be prepared for one...

Those are essentials. I think you just can't go window shopping at Macy's. Not that you could anyway since they're closing all their stores until this blows over.

If there is a shutdown (which Cuomo is not in favor of).

Like another poster had said, she/he will comply to the shutdown by default because what's to do and where would you go if everything is closed? If anything, it'll be spooky out there so I'd rather stay put at home and catch up on reading material, shows on Netflix, Amazon Prime, You Tube. And figure out a way to exercise at home.
Okay thanks because what you said is what I thought I heard this morning on the briefing. Just wanted to make sure that maybe I didn’t misunderstand something.
I had questioned some people earlier that want to rebel against the shelter in place because I brought up the point of the city literally being dead already. I think almost everything has closed, what are they going to do anyways was my question to them. What use is it going to be to ignore it if there’s nothing open to do lol.

I think we should just let it happen, it’ll be what hopefully two weeks(my wishful thinking not sure how long this has actually been proposed for)? We might as well get it over with and hope that in two weeks we can get start a little bit of normalcy again
This sucks for everyone obviously but sulking and being miserable isn’t going to make this situation any better.

The MTA is expected to lose approximately $3.7 billion in fare revenue over the coming months if ridership trends remain in tact, with additional cleaning expenses expected to near $300 million, according to the report.

Hopefully they restructure the benefits agreement to have workers pay more into their retirement plans and the like. We can't keep affording to pay the MTA workers as we do.

You're right about that. It'll just weaken your immune system which is the last thing you'd want to do. You'll need it to fight off the virus.

F the MTA. I assume only the homeless are riding it for free anyway. Now it’s a studio apartment on wheels.
