This is true too. Just spoke to a good friend of mines who is recovering from Covid19. Now he has become racists to chinese people. This is not funny at all. Plenty of people who are infected will need mental health evaluation from this.

Saddest thing about this whole event is Andrew Cuomo will most certainly be re-elected (and yes he is going to run) again in 2022. Sixteen years as NYS governor.

The problem is that a lot of US economic might and technical advantage has been based on immigration including skilled immigration. Or is this specifically anti-Australian sentiment? Did you have a bad run-in with some bogans?

No, it's just a warm expression that we New Yorkers of some generations ago used to say to each other when leaving each other's presence, no shaking hands, no hugs, no kisses, just "don't let the door boot you in the ass as you're leaving" from a warm and productive distance.

Good times, good times!

So, don't let the door ... you know the rest.

Wish you well.

I think Bill Gates might be thinking of running for president in 2024, either party. He is behaving somewhat that way, at least in connection with this epidemic. Gates for president, Yang for vice-president, either party - I would not mind that.

Especially since New Yorkers value safety and security over freedom and independence.

Well, he's in his 60s and this virus isn't too elderly-friendly.

well,..if he is willing to forgo reason like that, the he was racist all along anyways. This just gave him more of a public excuse to hate people around him that had nothing to do with the virus.

Default Bob Kraft To The Rescue!!!

So, Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, took his jet to China and purchased a million of the impossible to get N95 masks and other medical equipment for hospitals in Boston. The plane is enroute back home now scheduled to land in Boston this afternoon.

He also purchased 300,000 of the masks for NY State and they will be flown to NY from Boston tomorrow.

Why the **** can't our federal government do this ? Why do we have hospital workers getting sick and dying all across the country because of a lack of these masks when it is now obvious that it can be done ? Why aren't there plane loads of this stuff in the air right now on the way to other major U.S. cities?

I seem to remember 95% of the MSM blaming Russia day in day out and politicians running a sham investigation into collusion yet here it's patently obvious China intentionally lying to the international community has led to the deaths of tens of thousands, yet that same MSM is concerned with offending them.

People saying Trump didn't act quickly enough also called him stopping direct flights from China as racist. Meanwhile NYC politicians were literally telling people the virus was not a threat and to go celebrate Chinese New Year shoulder to shoulder in the streets.

I see no walls, no borders hasn't been mentioned in awhile. Wonder why.

The hypocrisy of virtue signaling creates migraines.

China is a very real and significant threat to the global community. Confronting that threat is not racist. And something tells me if China was replaced with Russia in this whole pandemic the word racist wouldn't even be mentioned.

And while some of this is a right vs left issue on the face of it, the underlying problem is not. The idea politicians on both sides of the aisle have no problem threatening everyone from Russia to Iran to Israel among others, yet it's China who is now actively responsible for countless deaths and we're supposed to tip toe around it? That doesn't even get into human rights abuses against their own people, doctors getting disappeared for trying to alert the public of the virus, which the west for whatever the reason turns a blind eye towards while we're too busy arguing over what pronoun to call someone.
