Yes when aerosolized indoors, detectable in the air for up to three hours

On the Diamond Princess cruise ship they are finding the coronavirus in rooms that were vacated 17 days ago

No. It's a pothole in the economy. Things just need to be spun up again (lots of money pumped in.)

I'm dealing with things as they sit now. In a country were everyone has cars and the government is highly decentralized, keeping people from traveling, especially when they're in panic mode, it essentially going to be impossible.

And, yes, the economy could be kept going through the die off, especially if the die off is mostly effecting retirees. Most of the workers will get sick and recover. Whatever else is going on, people need to feed themselves and pay their bills.

He can try in 2024. To late for this year.

The problem with looking at new infections is that it requires people to be tested, and having enough testing capacity. The number can have a huge false upwards rate. Being blunt, it's much easier and more accurate to count the bodies. But, yes, it's a trailing indicator.

The rate of new infections is the number to watch. If that number starts slowing down, leveling or decreasing then the trajectory is bending. If the number doubles every week or every few days it is a very bad sign.

I still don’t get what exactly Cuomo is doing that is so great other than going on TV everyday reading off numbers and finger pointing at Trump.

To use a poker analogy, he's playing a bad hand as well as he can, using a fair amount of bluff to do so.

When you're in the position that he's in, and faced with a situation as intractable as this one is, saying, "Yeah, we're screwed" is not really an option. So he's latching on to what possible solutions the medical people give him, not matter how unlikely they are to work, and how negative the consequences, and running with them. This at least gives him the appearance of doing something about the situation, even if it's ineffective. And the people who are causing him problems (Trump, Bla, an uncooperative citizenry, etc.) just give him cover when it all comes crashing down.

What’s wrong with saying what Trump is doing wrong. We got 25,000 cases and getting 400 ventilators... There are 20,000 available.

Has there been any hint/rumor about when non-essential businesses will be allowed to open again?
