The majority of Florida cases came from the cruise ships and snowbirds going back down to escape the outbreak in their cities.
Agreed, but NY and NYC are faring far worse than other travel hubs and states, ex Miami, Orlando, LA are faring far better. Even California is doing far better, so NYC is an anomaly in a very bad way. The failure to act appropriately and quickly was a major mistake, that can't be undone!

Social distancing and staying home is working overall.
Agreed and why isn't NYC closing down the subways or enforcing social distancing?

Again proof that de Blasio and Cuomo are not doing their jobs!

PS. I do think NY residents are somewhat more unruly and don't care about others.

Wait till the virus hits poor rural low income white areas which have access to medical care and facilities compared to suburban and urban areas.

As for academia and media? Both areas push race, LGBT and women issues to the point that it becomes very toxic.

I just noticed looking at world coronavirus stats. Nyc has an higher death rate than all of Germany. And NYS has an higher infection rate than France.

Exactly, doesn't this suggest something very bad is going on in New York versus the rest of the USA and world. The leaders of New York are messing up bigtime!

Did you notice that Cuomo never takes any hard questions during his TV appearances.
Cuomo won't permit any independent inspections. He pontificates but doesn't address or fix things. It's a phony, corrupt new conference he holds daily.

From the Gothamist:

Graham, the son of prominent minister Billy Graham, has specifically sought to recruit Christian medical staff to the Central Park facility. According to the group's website, all volunteers, including health care workers, should read and adhere to a statement of faith, in which marriage is defined as "exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female" and the unrighteous are sentenced to "everlasting punishment in hell."

That seems like they are trying to secure jobs oh give their own people a way to build up money before the layoffs start happening. After this, companies will do massive layoffs to try recoop their bottom line and keep their huge bonuses.

Have you read their posts? Do they logically make sense how they are posting?

They post something, someone would challenge their view with a reply and they wouldn't reply back backing up their opinion. Instead they just post repeat post the same thing in different words. Then comes the copy and paste stuff from other social media sites without any input of their own view.

So for someone to just shift the majority of their posting from from one city, entirely to another and start doubling down stating immigrants are spreading the virus when in fact the ones who are spreading it are not exactly immigrants but the ones who have money to leave the city for an extended period of time. Such as all the ones who flew out to their summer homes in Florida, Hampton's, even that incident that happened in CT where they were throwing parties. Then proceed to say NYers need to stay in NY and stop spreading the virus when in fact many people that work in NY do not live in NY, someone challenges their opinion and there is no reply. A conversation goes both ways. If someone just wants to talk and not engage in a conversation then that person can talk all they want, and others have to option to ignore all they want since the talker have no intention of a conversation.

So after all the previous posts of failure to start a conversation the question that got their posts ignored was "Why so vested in whats happening here in NYC?"

They should worry about their own state and what their state is doing to protect them instead of trolling residents of another state.

Other worldclass cities like Tokyo, London, Seoul, Hong Kong partial shutdown their subways but not completely. They kept most important lines but others are shutdown.

NYC hasn't shutdown subways smartly and people are still crowding inside. This will not work, the virus will spread.

Social Distancing is key!

Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong also practice social distancing, even on subways. These cities are the model that NYC should follow, but sadly it isn't.

For what it's worth. I never liked Cuomo, but I have to respect how he's handling this.

It is key, but not enough are following it. On a line at the bank at the drive through yesterday, People were initially stayed six feet apart and more. At the window they got crowded together and arguments broke out. Left just as it looked like a fight was about to start. Instead of spacing out they were about to fight. Many are angry, anxious and scared. Its understandable but that does not help either.
