Again proof that de Blasio and Cuomo are not doing their jobs!
PS. I do think NY residents are somewhat more unruly and don't care about others.
Did you see a rep I just sent...?
You are clearly disliked by many on this board, but that doesn’t seem to shutter you from pouring out your repeated dissent on diblasio/Cuomo...your persistence is impressive ... like I mentioned earlier, there is some truth to what you posted.

Because the city isn't totally shut down; as such there are a vast number of people who still need to get back and forth from work each day.
Nurses, nursing assistants, home health aides, childminders, even some physicians, are top of that list. The "Q" train still has a good number of such persons daily (you can tell by their uniforms) getting on or off at 72nd and Second. You also see same at 14th Union Square as well.
Then you have UPS, USPS, Amazon, Instacart, Fresh Direct, supermarket, and various other "essential" workers who need to get back and forth from work too.
Kick out all the hobos from the trains first. They are all diseased by now.
Am more worried about the bums who camp out at bank atm lobbies. Went past a TD Bank branch the other night and they were in there giving each other haircuts, pissing, camping out, etc.... People who go in there next day don't know what they can catch.
Subways are a lost cause; since PAUSE act cut ridership down to nearly nil they have been largely taken over by homeless bums and mentally ill.
Agreed, but NY and NYC are faring far worse than other travel hubs and states, ex Miami, Orlando, LA are faring far better. Even California is doing far better, so NYC is an anomaly in a very bad way. The failure to act appropriately and quickly was a major mistake, that can't be undone!
NYC's politicians were too busy being afraid of being labelled racist, so instead of taking precautionary steps as this virus was ripping thru China, they told everyone to continue with their lives as usual, go to the movies and go celebrate Chinese New Year shoulder to shoulder in the streets.
Blasio literally tweeted on March 2nd to go to the movies and even suggested which movie to see.
"On February 29th, the U.S. surgeon general tweeted this: "Seriously, people stop buying
masks. They are 'not effective in preventing the general public from catching coronavirus. ...
The CDC amplified this untruth."
"I've been saying all along the government is hoarding masks and lying to the public.
If they told people the truth, NYers would be better protected and the numbers would drop."
it's NO conspiracy.... Dr. Adams /the Government didn't purposely "LIE" to us at the time. Get a grip man.....
last week, chinese dr. from china really convinced Dr. Jerome about the benefits of wearing a mask....
Who else has better experience (aside from Dr's, nurses, et al) on wearing surgical face masks all day long in their communities because of their sniffles and spreading it around? The chinese.

And they did not want to imagine how much money the city would lose if everything was shutdown.
So they were in denial.
With that said so we’re many members of the public. People were extremely selfish and annoyed that their routines could be destroyed. And hated the idea they would have to follow orders.
