I have already written off NYC as hospitable grounds for Republicans due to demographics, if Zeldin loses, I’m afraid NYS is done as far as the Governirship is concerned for the Republicans. I sincerely hope that I’m wrong and this isn’t the case!
It was reported the Bronx was having a low turnout this morning, this is AOC's district and where Hillary got the most votes in NY. I wondered how Hochul is doing so well if the Bronx voters stayed home, unless the Dems started driving the Bronx voters to the pols this afternoon or gave them mail in ballots to fill out.

It’s a political realignment that has occurred where people would rather vote Dem based on abortion rights (even when they are never going to be outlawed), association with Trump and damage to the Republican brand.

Those are just a number of reasons. There may be others.

Bronx is just one boro though. With the exception of SI and pockets of BK and QNS, Manhattan and the rest vote for Dems no matter the candidate. As a result, Dems rack up high vote counts from NYC and add on in other urban areas of the state.

Oh well, I'll be staying out of NYC as long as the Democrats are running it.

How small do you think the Bronx is?
How many people do you think are in that whack job AOC's district?
In what world is a Republican Maga Republican going to get a lot of votes in NYC?

Unfortunately, Zeldin has not been able to get within 10% of her lead all night. Clearly he did get some Democrats to vote for him, but not enough.

Is this guy and others like him voting for her?

Manhattan immigrant has been voting illegally for 13 years: BOE

Hochul's win would likely mean vaccine mandate for children...
