No me, CLT1985 Apparently he thinks Fayetteville is in the Raleigh metro based on some stats he gave earlier, so I gave the new Raleigh metro figures, Raleigh metro @ 2,726,000 is the largest in the state now, I suggest you take it up with him
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Research_Triangle
"The Raleigh–Durham television market includes a broader 24-county area which includes Fayetteville, and has a population of 2,726,000 persons"
Honestly, I new Greater Raleigh would pass Metrolina one day, but I thought it would take a little bit longer than this
The Raleigh Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) had an estimated population of 1,214,516 in 2013.
The Research Triangle region encompasses the U.S. Census Bureau's Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Combined Statistical Area (CSA), which had an estimated population of 2,037,430 in 2013.[11] The Raleigh Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) had an estimated population of 1,214,516 in 2013.
Moore Square, Union Square, Capital Square….Raleigh has those too….but this is HUGE. People are comparing it to Atlanta's Piedmont Park. Nothing can touch it Charlotte, let alone as close to uptown as this is to downtown Raleigh
Wait, a Charltan poster said Fayetteville was in the Raleigh area, we can't even include outside Raleigh/Cary now?? Make up your minds, Charlatans, which is it! lol
Poor Charlotte, NC (I have to add "NC" because I found out a lot of people think Charlotte is in SC) , they have to compare apples to oranges to prop Charlotte, NC up
"The U.N. uses areas it calls “urban agglomerations,*” which measure the continuously built-up areas around central cities. It’s a different measure from the Metropolitan Statistical Area used by the U.S. Census Bureau."
I go by the UN standard, the global standard for the world, as do most folks
Raleigh CSA: 2,075,000 (unless you include Fayetteville then it's 2,700,000)
Charlotte, NC CSA: 2,442,000
Jacksonville, Fl city size; 800,000
CSA metro size: 1,500,000
That's probably one reason why the UN uses their formula.

No that us not true, . Orkin Office is Raleigh, Fayette, Durham The list is is made up by Orkin not US Census. These list you can not use as way to define Raleigh Metro. Fayetteville is it own metro. You are confessed about have companies report.
In Orkin's report it list Charlotte Orkin office. Who knows how many counties that that takes in.he city of Charlotte has 224 hotels and the report you posted has 20 hotels.
That is 0.09% or less than 1% of the hotels in Charlotte.
You think I believe Raleigh and Fayetteville are in same metro by an Orkin report. That funny because you think a companies office report defines a metro.
For those who are counting, Raleigh has 89 hotels and the city of Charlotte has 224 hotels.
CategoryMetropolitan areas of North Carolina (as defined by the State of North Carolina)
Asheville metropolitan area
Charlotte metropolitan area
Fayetteville, North Carolina metropolitan area
Greenville, North Carolina metropolitan area
Hampton Roads (north eastern part of NC in Hampton Roads)
Piedmont Triad
Research Triangle, North Carolina
Rocky Mount metropolitan area
The Unifour
Wilmington, North Carolina metropolitan area
List of metropolitan areas of North Carolina (As defined by the US Census Bureau)
No where in these lists does it have Fayetteville in with Raleigh.
You do not take a private companies reports to determine a metro area.
For all official reports, the US Census are used. Not North Carolina, or Orkin reports..
You many find TV coverage reports with Fayetteville-Raleigh-Durham, this has nothing to do with defining what a metro is.
