A biotech company now based in central New Jersey plans to relocate to Concord in a move that will bring 33 jobs to an existing building in International Business Park.
Hydromer Inc. will spend up to $2 million to relocate from Branchburg, New Jersey, with plans to open the new headquarters and manufacturing facility this summer.
Martin von Dyck, Hydromer’s executive vice president of operations, says he expects the company to be able to respond to customers’ requests more quickly in the new headquarters. “It will feature modular production elements, empowering more agile and leaner productivity, therefore allowing our company to adapt and change much faster to meet its diverse customer requirements,” he says.

his German auto parts manufacturing plant in Mooresville was built in 11 months and the German plant manager was quick to point out it was 2 weeks late!
Currently, the plant is in pre-production with 30 employees and expects to reach 100 workers by the end of the year. Gokhan Tektas is the general manager at the Mooresville plant.
Gunter Frolich, president and CEO of German-based Tristone Flowtech Group, took a friendly jab at builders of the plant during the ceremony on Wednesday.
With a short timeline, the building was delivered “two weeks late but OK,” he says. The structure took “11 months and a day” to build, he says.
Yeargin Potter Smith Construction of Greenville, South Carolina, built the 215,000-square-foot facility. SunCap Property Group developed the site.
Jeff McNeely, a member of the Iredell County Board of Commissioners, says the auto-parts manufacturer blends well with other such plants in Mooresville. “It’s a great fit for us to have them in our county,” he says.
