We went to ICE yesterday w/ discount tickets and there was no line or waiting. We liked it. I'm glad I had discount tickets; if I had paid full price it wouldn't have been worth the price.

So, how did you get discount tickets? I have been wondering about this because it's pretty steep (just 2 adults here, no kids, although I do like "kid" things", LOL) - so it's not worth it?

We like to visit the National Christmas Tree and see the trees that are decorated from the 50 states and territories. There is usually a bonfire and a big train set up. And it takes awhile to walk around the whole thing. The kids will like the train. And then you can take the obligatory pictures in front of the decorated-for-Christmas White House. We've done this a lot on Christmas day, and it's always pretty busy with tourists and locals. Then we head to Chinatown for Chinese food.

Another option might be to tour Mount Vernon. It has an extra floor open during the holidays, I believe. And I think Scouts (girl scouts and boy scouts) get in free if they wear their uniforms.

I got them online for 10.00 on 10/10/10. It was a special promotion.

Also thinking about going to NH. WTOP's website says to avoid Telegraph Road interchange this weekend. Should I avoid the WW bridge too? Still fairly new to the area and not sure about some of the traffic issues. Thanks.
