"The owner of Ward Centers received approval Wednesday to build its sixth residential tower under a master plan calling for up to 22 towers on 60 acres in Kakaako.
Howard Hughes Corp. received approval in a 5-1 vote from the board of the Hawaii Community Development Authority, the state agency regulating development in Kakaako"
Finally some housing relief for the middle and low income kamainas.
No offense honobob, but where do you assume its affordable housing for med to low incomed kama'ainas? In fact the word affordable housing that has been thrown around by housing officials has been affordable housing for those making min 100,000 to 125,000k a year. Far cry from affordable for those low incomed or medium in my opinion? Unless im missing something?

Do you have a source for that?
Try 30% or less of median income get first shot.
For a family of 4, that would be around $67,060 (median is $95,800)
You know what's funny about your quotes is ? Rycrift and Pangodia properties are older then I am lol. Hell I remember visiting both as a kid. Anyway HUD housing is SEC 8 programs etc. The point is and always is that majority of the redevelopments or highrises are targetted for the richer % of residents and foreigners. Further 2 and 3 buildings doesn't constitute an effort towards affordable housing.
Yup, listen to these people, they are business men, locals and councilmen on hawaii housing boards and activists.
The 100,000k to 125,000k years targeted for affordable housing is mentioned in video. Last time you said you would watch something that long. It has some interesting information.

Do you actually have something from a journalist in print and not a bunch of extremists. Anything? In print? (Not by Al Jazeera please like you linked before today) or from a Hawaii government site? Any official like I provided in print? Anything? Anything said in the video is as credible as your extremist false views.
It would be nice to own a Condo down in Kakaako. But the cost is too much, like has been talked about.
I bet the traffic is going to be a nightmare in that area of Kakaako, in a few years.
