Glad to see a positive move in the immigration department of our government.

DACA is dead.

No DACA without the Wall, straight from Trump.

Democrats/Leftist don't have the seats in the House or Senate (or SCOTUS for that matter) to force the issue either.

Dems and pro-DACA Republicans do. Together that is a veto proof majority (unless a significant amount of Dems oppose DACA)

Really? How many pro-DACA GOP seats can you count? I can tell you right now it ain't 47 seats.

If the Dems want DACA they're going to need to work with Trump and the GOP on immigration and the Wall. No more illegal alien free loading. The Country has spoken.

47 Dems (assuming no Dems oppose it, Manchin is the only Dem I could concieve of opposing it) and at least half the Republicans.

That is a veto proof majority.

That said I would not be surprised if there are some compromises on immigration, The wall is just a stupid idea that will not solve anything except serving as a make-work project and allowing contractors to rake off considerable profits off the taxpayers dime, like the Big Dig or the Second Avenue Subway. That money would be better spent on beefing up the Coast Guard (which Trump wants to cut) or ICE

"Veto Proof"

So the GOP Congress is going to roll over Trump on immigration/wall, and suddenly push DACA through a Veto? You sure the DACA kids are the only dreamers here?

The truth is Trump has got the Democrats/Lefitst by the balls on this issue, and Nancy Pelosi and Chucky Schumer have already taken massive heat from the Latino Caucus in Congress for their willingness to negotiate with Trump on DACA for the Wall/Immigration reform.

Here they are waiting angrily outside of Schumer's office.

Tax Reform was supposed to be the line that couldn't be crossed for Democrats. Trump stepped over it, and took a **** on the other side.

You'll see the same thing on DACA and Immigration reform.

Yes indeedy

"ICE will have no choice but to conduct at-large arrests in local neighborhoods and at worksites, which will inevitably result in additional collateral arrests, instead of focusing on arrests at jails and prisons where transfers are safer for ICE officers and the community," Homan declared.

The Trump administration would consider immigration legislation that includes a pathway to citizenship for hundreds of thousands of young people, the U.S. Homeland Security secretary said Tuesday (1/3/18), while emphasizing no decision on that issue has been made and a border wall remains the priority.

Congress is considering three options, including citizenship or permanent legal status for people who were temporarily shielded from deportation, Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said in an interview.

CNN is not trustworthy, just like the LA Times. Their editorial content is terrible. My opinion of them has nothing to do with them being a fake news outlets. They just are and have proven to be over and over again.
