Never mind is it time for Fiat to go. The real issue is it never should have arrived.

I think it's time for Fiat to go period. As in go out of business. Being that I worked in a Chrysler dealership (and Fiat now owns 90% of Chrysler) I saw what kind of garbage cars that Fiat made. Chryslers have been junk for a long time now, but they only got worse under Fiat.

I'm not a big fan of working on European cars in general, but I've worked on several Fiats and I have to say they were one of the biggest POS's I've ever worked on. So I'll be jumping for joy once Fiat has crashed and burned. Hopefully they take Chrysler down with them.

They're not really meant for here-They work well in tight European cities, not in suburban towns.
Either way Chrysler is a rudderless ship at this point.

Ahh, so another proudly closed minded person.

I've had 2 Fiat X 1/9s and 3 Fiat 124s, this being the latest one:

Love these cars. But I CAN work on them (they are easy, much like my BMWs) and restored that one from the ground up (it was a $100 beater that I brought back to life for under $2k). Far from being POS, it was a nice little traditional sports car, with a fun twincam engine, 5 speed transmission and one of the easiest to use manual tops I've ever worked with (and I've worked with a LOT of convertibles over the years, mostly British, but a number of American ones, as well).

Fiat 500 does fine on a racetrack at 120 mph. I wouldn't generally take anything up to 120 on public roads here. When I was younger and dumber, sure, it's happened, but it was stupid. I wouldn't have any problem taking the 124 up to 120 though on a track. It's got better handling than probably 95% of the cars on the road.

I'll never understand why it bothers people how other people spend their money

Actually the interior makes me appreciate the car even more. I love when the exterior carries into the interior. I wish more cars would do that.
