TODAY'S QUESTIONS
What fun things did you usually do during the summer when you were a child? Oh, my childhood was a blast. We ran from sunup to sundown. We played outside. There were lots of kids in our neighborhood and we spent half the summer in OK at my grandparents house. They had horses and chickens. Never a dull moment for a kid.

Do you do still do any of those fun summer things?

Of the fun summer things you don’t do any more, which ones would you most like to do again if you could? Ride bikes, climb trees, be amazed at simple things like horny toads and fishing.

What was the happiest summer of your life, the one you wish you could go back and relive? They were all special. I liked the ones in OK, because we lived miles and miles from town and the whole cultural thing was kicking. They spoke Kiowa in church and there were tribal gatherings. Nice to meet other NDNs and I am related to everyone.

BONUS QUESTIONS
Have you known any twins [or multiples]?

Did they dress alike, or did they maintain separate identities?

JUST FOR FUN
Have you ever wished you were a twin?

Good morning, everyone! It’s September first and the last weekend of summer. Before we put away our shorts and swimsuits and get out our wool scarves and winter coats, let’s do some reminiscing about happy summer times.

TODAY'S QUESTIONS
What fun things did you usually do during the summer when you were a child?
Play with friends, going to the beach, summer camps, traveling with my parents.

Do you do still do any of those fun summer things?
I go to the beach sometimes. The noise and the smell of sea reminds me of my childhood...

Of the fun summer things you don’t do any more, which ones would you most like to do again if you could?
Be with my parents again...

What was the happiest summer of your life, the one you wish you could go back and relive?
There are many fond memories, usually the great time I spent with my parents. They were very good to me.

BONUS QUESTIONS
Have you known any twins [or multiples]
At school, I think, there were some twins.

Did they dress alike, or did they maintain separate identities?
Yeah... same gender dressed alike. Not sure where that custom came from. I would not dress twins alike.

JUST FOR FUN
Have you ever wished you were a twin?
No.

TODAY'S QUESTIONS
What fun things did you usually do during the summer when you were a child? We lived on a dirt road & could not see another house from ours. Leaving early in the morning, we'd join neighborhood kids from up to a several miles away and play in the fields, woods and streams until someone's mom would let us know it was time to head home for dinner.

Do you do still do any of those fun summer things? I still live on a dirt road with few neighbors & spend a lot of time outside.

Of the fun summer things you don’t do any more, which ones would you most like to do again if you could? Summer camp with friends.

What was the happiest summer of your life, the one you wish you could go back and relive? There are moments, like having picnics with grandparents, that I would wish to relive but not one "happiest summer."

BONUS QUESTIONS
Have you known any twins [or multiples]? A close friend has a twin. Several sets of twins have attended schools where I've taught.

Did they dress alike, or did they maintain separate identities?
Separate identities, always.

JUST FOR FUN
Have you ever wished you were a twin? Haven't. Maybe because I have three sisters and a brother and that's quite enough, thank you.

Sept. 1st. This would have been my parent's 60th wedding anniversary.
Happy day, all!

Going to day camp from ages 8-13.
In order the top fun things I did was horseback riding (age 13 only), swimming, ping pong, and baseball. Being social with many kids my age was also cool.
I no longer do any of the activities I did at summer camp but doing the above again would be nice.

I worked with someone who was a twin and I saw her sister maybe twice. It appeared they had separate identities.

Good morning!

September is here... It also is Pediatric Cancer Awareness month... something that definitely touches my heart, as the mom of a sick child. Please take a minute to pray for the kids who have to go through the unthinkable. Thank you so much.

TODAY'S QUESTIONS
What fun things did you usually do during the summer when you were a child?

The school had outdoor recreation, arts and crafts and indoors we listened to records in the gym. Rode bikes. Went to the roller rink. Played board games at picnic tables people had in their yards. Went to the beach when I was older, stopped playing outside and watched The Prisoner on TV, played records and danced in each other's finished basements, read a lot of books outside and listened to baseball games on the radio. When I was really younger (under 7) went roller skating around the block, played in the park's playground across the street, went to the town pool, shot caps off, played potsy, jumped rope, played school, played cowboys and Indians, played hide and seek.

Do you do still do any of those fun summer things?

No

Of the fun summer things you don’t do any more, which ones would you most like to do again if you could?

I would like to do some of those things if I physically could but definitely not in the summer.

What was the happiest summer of your life, the one you wish you could go back and relive?

None

BONUS QUESTIONS
Have you known any twins [or multiples]?

There were identical girl twins in my classes in Jumior High School.

Did they dress alike, or did they maintain separate identities?

dressed alike
