I'm so old I remember... The Bowling Alley.. Only place for miles that had air conditioning.. 2 couples on Saturday Night off League Season... 10 cent a frame -- 25 cent for shoe rental -- big pizza pie 16 inch $3.75 -- endless pitcher of soda 50 cents..
RED Star on Pin .. depending on it's location as in head pin.. a free game a split could be a free pizza.. some thing free.. just buzz the front desk.. they would acknowledge by a wave..

Air conditioning on my car was when I would open the front windshield and the Gas tank cap was just below that for 13 cents a Gallon....50 cents would take me a long way on a date.
