They do that for food stamp recipients? Yeah...they sure are paying attention.
Don't you have fridges to worry about? LOL
Care to explain that first sentence? (I don't really care about the second; it's too ridiculous that someone who has never seen what kind of crap slumlords rent out thinks they know it.)
If you're going to have a list of foods that people on FS can and can't buy (I guess a can list would be enough, everything else is "can't"), it should be drawn up by someone or someones with degrees in nutrition. The stuff I've seen on this thread is nothing short of nuts as far as what constitutes good nutrition. I might add I am not in support of this.
Yeah, all our parents were the Cosby's online. I'm not jealous of your uncle just feel sorry for him that he bilked millions of taxpayers out of billions to keep his insidious company afloat. Oh the irony.
Since you feel speaking truth is a personal attack, I apologize. It was quite apparent I did not agree. And I do not believe you were being facetious. This is facetious. Not .
You're 15 years my junior. You really only have enough experience to get educated, learn facts and form rational conclusions from it. Don't knock ALL because of SOME. Any and all life experience is a possibility, no matter who you are or your 'status'.
I did notice someone brought some light to you and you noticed. You learned.
Hey, where I come from, we do the same thing, except use elbow macaroni instead. And we put saltines on top instead of bread crumbs. It's awesome and aside from probably being high in sodium (which could be corrected by buying the low sodium version of the cream of mushroom), it's not a bad food choice.
I like the idea of the low salt soup. My "other" bless her heart would probably salt it up though. Oh well, we all gotta die from something. Nobody gets out of here alive.

Congrats!!! You are a slum expert. How glorious!!!
I agree with your last paragraph. Yes...I said I agree.

That is all I buy. Sometimes my family adds salt to them (the soups), but I doubt if they get as much as they would from regular sodium soup.
A lot of those 5 million getting cut off from unemployment have already been on food stamps for quite some time now.
I speak for myself when I say I have not resorted to Food Stamps ( being unemployed ) and will only do so when I can no longer afford the P & J and truly desperate . I promise you that...
I don't know the percentage of unemployed on Food Stamps but me thinks it will jump expotentially with the R. Congress blocking ( over and over ) the passing of an extension like a competitive Monopoly Game...

So bring in the nutritionists to decide what the FS people can and cannot buy.
They do help in educating people of how best to stretch food stamp dollars in the most nutritional ways. They do not WANT to decide what they can or cannot buy. Everyone deserves their snacks.
Energy drinks and hot food are things you cannot purchase. I agree.
One can buy cold subs from any deli, that accepts food stamps, but should only be done in an emergency. When we've been even more frugal one month, that rolls into the next, we 'splurge' and get some deli-cut meats and swiss cheese. About once every three months.
Some people also have trouble getting to the store. There are many variables when making decisions.

That should be a republican wet dream. Block unemployment benefits and when the people qualify for food stamps tell them what food items they can or can't purchase. That's two legs of a trifecta
