To answer your question, requires you to do some leg work.
Write a polite letter (via snail mail) to your local congresscritter and ask for a copy of:
(1) the law that compels all Americans to enroll in SocSec,
(2) the law that punishes any American who does not enroll in SocSec,
(3) the law that defines a unit dollar as anything but a silver coin.
You may get an answer. In my own experience, and reports from others, they will NOT reply. Which is quite unusual, don't you think?
If you ask about any other subject, important or daffy, they respond. But when you try to pin them down, on socialist insecurity or dollars, they go silent.
Of course, what they cannot divulge is that there is NO LAW compelling participation, nor punishing those who do not participate. It is 100% voluntary - voluntary servitude.
And since 1933, no DOLLARS have circulated. A "dollar bill" is NOT a dollar, by law. (See: Title 12 USC Sec. 411)

The only way that they can remain 'relevant' is by attempting to elevate their patron saint, Sarah Palin, run for RNC Chairman (to of course replace the "Token"). However, the true Republican establishment will never let that happen and will quash the TP movement entirely.
The Tea Party doesn't have to wait to some Spring 2011 date, like politicians seeking higher office, to start getting ready for 2012. There is a difference between the media not catching on and actually doing something.
