If this were true then the TPers wouldn't be voting for Republicans or Democrats but creating a completely separate political party? And if this were true, why would the Tea Party support the political party who drained America's surplus?

Government manipulation of the free market does not exclude the Republicans, they are the main culprits.....so your attempt at a rebuttal falls flat. The truth about the Tea Party is blatantly obvious and the sideshow talking points are thinly veiled and inconsistent with the rhetoric of the TP.

But in the end, none of it matters because the influence of the TP is a smoke screen for the real power players in the Republican party (the billionaires or multimillionaires) The TPers are/were nothing more than the foot soldiers....disposable.

The only way that they can remain 'relevant' is by attempting to elevate their patron saint, Sarah Palin, run for RNC Chairman (to of course replace the "Token"). However, the true Republican establishment will never let that happen and will quash the TP movement entirely.

Tea party group wants Palin for RNC - Andy Barr - POLITICO.com
OMG!!! This is hilarious! Now I've heard everything! The Tea Party Movement was a puppet parade??? Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Well you lefties can believe anything you want, but I think you will be shocked to learn that it has only just begun. We have only won the first battle. There is a lot of work yet to be done, and we aren't sitting down till our Republic is restored, Obama and his "czars" have gone home, and the Democrat (Socialist) Party is relegated to minority status for a very long time.

Thanks for the laugh though!

Yay! Another conspiracy theory for the nutters to embrace! The 9/11 theories are getting old, and chemtrails are far to easy to debunk. We needed some fresh meat! Thanks, cali!

I can't help but notice you make no mention of borrowing money from China and Iran to give to the middle class. I wonder why that is....
The agreement adds to the deficit, Iran and China buy our debt.
According to the Aristocracy they are the only ones paying taxes, why would it cost to give tax breaks to those paying nothing

Hi Calipoppy,

I'm not a tea party person, nor do I pretend to speak for them, but in our 2 party system it's smart to take over / make inroads inside of an existing political party than to start your own. An example of this is Ron Paul's 2008 Republican campaign being more successful than his 1988 Libertarian campaign. He's stated this on many occasions when both Dems and Repubs ask why he's hasn't left the Republican party yet since he's against most of their policies of the last decade.

The tea party began as a response to the bailouts and high debt. The Republican party at least gives lip service to fiscal conservatism vs the Democrats, who trumpet their policies of spending. A Democratic example of lip service is Blacks making inroads in the Democratic party even though they take the "Black vote" for granted.

Basically, the tea party decided to work inside of the Republican party since that gave them a better chance of success. This isn't surprising, since many of the initial tea party people were Ron Paul supporters and Libertarians before the GOP establishment jumped on the bandwagon.

Hello enemy country,

Even if the tea party as a whole is racist, why would it matter? Today a "racist" person can only have opinions, there's no law in place that give a person like this any power. Are you saying that tea party groups will put "racist" people in office and those people will overturn civil rights laws? Are you saying they will advocate a return to Jim Crow, or even worse, Black slavery? I'm trying to understand why these repeated discussions and references to "tea party racism" matter at all since a "racist" person has no real power in this country. This is evident in how quickly a person must apologize or resign when they say or do anything that is considered "racist".

As a disclaimer, I'm neither Dem or Repub, so I have no agenda in this conversation. I am genuinely curious for an answer from both yourself and others who are concerned about tea party "racism".

Palin is hated by the GOP establishment and there isn't a snowball's chance in hell she could win the election to be the party chairman. The Tea Party was never anything more then a collection of useful idiots to the real powers that run the GOP (the wealthy "campaign donors" who bribe the politicians) and that's why billionaires like the Koch brothers paid to bus those useful idiots around to different rallies so they could scream "socialism" and claim Obama was going to kill grandma. Now the election is over and the real owners of the GOP don't need those dolts any more so the tea party idiots will get flushed down the toilet like an old turd and the wealthy will continue doing what they've always done with "their party".
