No her "cure" is not irrational, when there are no term limits they become complacent and forget why they became a politician, there should be term limits, they should not be able to retire from politics with full retirement, full health benefits, very few private sector jobs offer this, if any. They shouldn't be getting into politics for the money they should do it because they have a passion for what they believe in.

Noone is debating huge cuts need to be made, but like all things you cannot fix things that have been broken for at least the last 6 to 8 yrs, overnight. Our economy and our job market could not sustain these losses, what I find amusing it that up until 3 or 4 yrs ago noone was very vocal about our deficit, and now suddenly it is an issue.

I am not sure what cuts were in the bill, we won't know until probably Monday or Tuesday, any bill is supposed to be made available online before it is signed into law so on Weds, you could probably go to www.house.gov and find the bill and read it . I do know medicare or medicaid wasn't, those will be addressed in the 2012 budget.

Guess it just depends on which particular media you get your info from.

I cannot believe that anyone would advocate shutting down the government, but then again I can't believe alot of things I see posted on this forum.
