I've voted GOP more than all other parties combined.

I started hating them after they started hating me. I'm a working middle class American - exactly who they try so hard to eliminate. They'd approve of me being white, though.

Why do republicans say the poor don't pay taxes?

Which/what Republicans is it that says poor don't pay taxes? I'm fairly poor but just sent the IRS a thousand bucks. I pay school taxes, property taxes and a few sorted others.

So, how do I claim poor? So I can skip the taxes, too?

Ooh please.. They arent trying to eliminate the middle class, they are trying to eliminate policies who create only a rich/poor society and to stop policies which are destrutive to the middle class, and penalize those who are successful due to hard work..

oooh more rasicm accusations, despite the GOP being the party who's elected far more minorities than any Democratic Party.. You know, the party who welcomed former KKK members into their elected positions..

Did you read the post? Is $30k above the median income? If it isn't, he is the bottom 48%, and apparently he is paying income tax.

There are other taxes besides income taxes, and state and local.

Apparantly he's not doing enough to reduce his tax liability while millions of other americans earn more, and pay less.. If you dispute the fact that 48% of americans arent paying taxes, take it up with the IRS..

What kind of weird and irrelevantly ignorant comment is that, anyway?
It seems perfectly relevant. Your response seems like it has nothing to do with the comment. Why don't you say what is relevant and ignorant instead of a non sequitir. What does this have to do with cheating on taxes or earning the same? If you were earning the same you'd have the same after taxes not 5x as much.

I have 5 times more income left over but I made 10 times as much? Do you see how wrong that is?
No.

I'm not disputing 48% of American aren't paying federal income taxes, just that those are all the 48% bottom payers.

As I said, 30k/year it is likely he is in the bottom 48%, some of the bottom 48% do pay income tax, and some higher do not.

No, they are talking about all income not just wages. Very wealthy people earn most of their income from capital gains, and other non-wage income.

To the topic: All wage earners pay 5.7% of their pay to SS and Medicare.
No, all wages up to 102 k/year are taxed for SS and Medicare.

Its very much the poor paying NO income tax..

And since these are GROSS figures, those grossing more incomes, are often dba's..
