What decisions critical or otherwise, in reference to the baby's gender can anyone make at this time? Your remark in this post insinuates that you think that the baby has a decision to make...it doesn't. I will read the article, but before I do, I am going to assume that the parents just do not want to stigmatize the child if it happens to naturally develop as a homosexual. A bit of outside the box thinking, but I would not label it "Liberlaism" just because it does not conform to what you deem as "normal".

Maybe they will let the child decide if she/he/it wants to swallow bleach.

Maybe they will let the child decide if she/he/it wants to have a sex-change-operation at 3 years-old.

I kinda think if she/he/it has 'outdoor' plumbing, but wants to use a 'girls' bathroom as a 19 year old, there may be problems.

Could be interesting if she/he/it has 'indoor' plumbing and wants to be a sperm-donor.

For the record I don't care what the gender of the baby is or any other human is for that matter....I just find it extremely bizarre the keeping your or your children gender a "secret" just odd.....what purpose does is serve?...
