Wow. And my logic was questioned earlier in this thread.
Yet you ignore everything else I said, completely missing the point. Go read my post again. I'm done.

A business not unlike every species on earth, must adapt or become extinct.

The successful business man is telling how he is staying successful in Obama's economy and business atmosphere.

Nowhere near the bias spin you placed on the scenario.

Bull crap.. If they didnt care about offering care, and only cared about profit, then they wouldnt offer care to begin with.. The fact is they offer care, because it offers an incentive to hire the most qualified individuals..

Ahh, short sighted views got you ignoring things like transportation costs, profit unification taxes, import taxes etc. Its GOVERNMENT and their non stop mandates forcing companies to offshore their production to other countries, which leads to government enticing other offshored companies to produce here. Why do you think Chinese environmental companies are expanding in america? Because they want to pay more for labor? No, because they want the "tax credits"..
Again there is NO CHANGE in regulation that is going to compensate for the compelling difference in wages between countries like Indonesia, Viet Nam, China, the Phillipines and here in the United States. The labor costs more than make up for transportation cost, import taxes and other cost you've mentioned. It's the major driver behind the RECORD PROFITS American corporations are making. There is nothing that is going to change this no matter which political party is in charge of the White House or Congress. In many ways the United States CAN NO LONGER COMPETE WITH OTHER COUNTRIES ECONOMICALLY.

The only reason most American corporations or businesses offer health care is to be competitive with the benefits packages offered by other corporations and businesses. The flip side of this is even without healthcare reform the exploding cost of health care is a major driver in American corporations outsourcing work to other countries.

NO OTHER MODERN DEVELOPED COUNTRY HAS EMPLOYER SPONSORED HEALTH CARE. An individual either gets healthcare from a government insurance health care system with a public option or they can get private insurance.

I guarantee you if and when major Fortune 500 corporations start dropping health care other corporations both large and small will follow suit especially in a weak economy were jobs are scarce. The fact that most American workers aren't organized to demand that their corproations offer healthcare will make this even easier.

Yes, American corporations should be unleashed from any tax obligations and various laws (such as environmental) to flourish.
The American worker must understand that he/she must make great sacrifices in pay and benefits. That is necessary to prevent America from going commie.
Unions should be abolished and made illegal; they are just a bunch of commie thugs.

And what bias and spin would that be? From the very beginning I have kept my comments on topic. This guy is cautious about expanding his successful business. If he does nothing (as he has chosen to do) he ends up with a successful business.
Other posters in this thread have brought up other, different businesses. That is bias.

I am quite sure there are businesses out there that are not doing so well. But not this guys business ... you know ... the guy this thread is about.
That is not spin.

Now I am through

The successful business man is telling how he is staying successful in Obama's economy and business atmosphere.

He is making a profit by downsizing.

Success in business, means the doors stay open another day.

Yet you're ignoring the larger issue. This is one guy, and one business. This article is nothing more than an EXAMPLE of what is happening all over the country. Businesses are scared to hire. I don't see what's so complicated about this.
