There is nothing wrong with me. How are THEY demanding anything be fixed?? I've not seen one "protestor" mention anything about voting. No signs about voting em out or anything along those lines. I may be wrong but I havn't seen any. Probably are a few. No the tea party is vilified for actually voting some people out. LOL. If that was their "message" to vote all these bums out then I'd be with em. Instead they just lay around whining about capitalism, evil rich, bla bla bla same old commie tripe.
NO--raise the biggest public stink possible (which is what's happening) and vote those people out if they're not willing to do their freaking job. I'm a small business owner, a moderate R, and a capitalist, and I can tell you right now--croney capitalism is no kind of capitalism at all. What's wrong with you? Have you ever thought that maybe--just maybe--making a big stink and demanding that it be fixed when our system is a mess is the most patriotic and AMERICAN thing we can do?
But these protests are a bit one sided; they (the protestors) seem only outraged about "Wall Street" and corporations. Where is the outrage over people like Obama taking corporate money? People on the right protested bailouts and were vilified by the left and the mainstream media as "violent", and "racist". I don't like the system either as it is, but I see the problem as the cozy relationship between crony capitalism and big government.
So I'm confused, do you or don't you want to get the money out of politics? The president is bought as well as congress. These are things that need to be addressed by EVERYONE, so we need to get over biased bickering between "left" and "right".

Obama takes the most money from Wall Street, yet there is shockingly little criticism from the Fleabaggers.
I don't see anyone standing up for Obama over this thing--pay attention. I'll vote for whoever works the hardest to clean this mess up, and I don't care which side they're on.

This is the internal monologue of federal government politicians and bureaucrats:
"I'm ideologically and personally opposed to X,Y and Z, let me regulate the hell out them, so no one can do much of them anymore, and drive up the cost of them too."
"I really like XX, YY and ZZ, let me subsidize the hell out them, mandate their use, and let's regulate, penalize, strangle and tax the hell out of any viable alternatives"
"Gee, this free wheeling, unfettered capitalism is just not working, let's regulate, legislate, mandate and tax these industries more and... see,.....see, I told you so... capitalism doesn't work.... time for socialism's hand at the helm of America."
As I said, the MSNBC talking head is an idiot. Money has always been part of politics, particularly in the US, and it always will be part of politics. Individuals can contribute directly to the candidate of their choice, or they can contribute to PACs that support their political ideology. Political contributions are a form of protected speech. If you have a problem with that I can recommend several other nations that do not have free speech.

Hey, that approach will also help fight illegal immigration too. Because a few more decades like this and WE will be the ones jumping the fence.

They're outraged over both sides taking corporate money, but then turning around and passing legislation that benefits big business but hurts the rest of us--that's the problem. A big part of it is that this isn't a new thing that's just happened--we've been on this track for decades--both sides are responsible--and now it's all coming to a head. The whole system is a mess--both sides have to raise huge corporate dollars to win because we've turned campaigning into some kind of cold war/arms race, and the people paying for those elections expect something in return. One side can't quit until the other side agrees to stop at the same time, or it would be political suicide. Both parties have to work together to end it, or it's not going to happen.

Um, have him stop doing that? Your question was pretty rhetorical, so it came across as biased bickering. How is discussing the OP ranting? I have been clear, I am in agreement that we need to get the money out of politics. Are you?
