Why would anyone non-stupid place their business in that position?
Beats me. Welcome to the land of illogic. Probably the same kind of guy who shouts at all his family over Thanksgiving dinner about how many people the Clinton's killed or how Obama is a feckless socialist-fascist dictator. For sucha True Believer, intelligence would just get in the way.

Quite correct. Actual Business decision makers respond to market demands to determine hiring. If they believe a new hire would result in additional profit either immediately or in the near future, they hire. People that say otherwise are, well, pi$$ing into the wind.

So, axing the government to cut a private business person's taxes will usually not increase employment. It might, but there is absolutely no guarantee.

p.s. I agree that growthmania is a disease of the West. We cannot keep growing infinitely on a finite planet without trashing it or cannibalizing our own society.
Yes, here there is one austerity program after another, cutting government to save money. But what will all those former government employees be doing in the future? Unemployment is high already and most of them won't find new jobs.

And I agree with your last sentence, but growth is a sacred cow as we don't have an alternative, yet, nor are we even looking for one. We will only start looking when we run out of resources...

Regarding the uncertainties about what the future might bring, becoming an entrepreneur is all about taking risks, there are no guarantees a business will be successful.

You twisted a comparison to be a reality.

Lack of fairness for who, exactly?

The world, or the US workforce?
Remember, we are a very patriotic people. The most unique nation in the world. One you seem to despise.
BentBow !!! ... On The Money As Usual !

Indeed ... You appear to have most accurately deduced a major stigmata that is associated with CDF ! There are many America haters that ply the backwaters of CDF and this appears to be just one more garden variety example !!!

Perhaps the non-citizen blighters should apply a little restraint ... I mean they should not engage the mouth ( Keyboard) before their brains are engaged ! Yep dat ought to do it y'all !

Y'all has ah really, really Happie Thanksgiving !!! ... OTAY !

Do you have experience actually doing that? So many people, who I don't think have even held a career-level job, much less run a business (I have since 1996), are quick to spew baseless platitudes.

Every month I spend between $20 to $50K to buy merchandise, on the risk that I can resell it at a profit and in a reasonable time frame. I am doing quite well, but not as well as I was, and it all started going to hell in a noticeable way shortly after Obama got elected. People don't want to spend as they used to, or hire as they used, to take risk as they used to. It will take a decade to house out and sterilize the nationa and economy of the filth Potemkin Village Idiot Obama dragged in on his filthy boots.

I am not saying your statement is such a platitude, but so much of what the peanut gallery around her spews, is.

How simplistic your thinking is - how myopic your vision is.

Its not the election, per se, its the devastation to the economy the incumbent has wrought that is the problem.

I don't think this guy is ALONE. There are probably a LOT of business not willing/able to hire til obama is gone.
It's not only that Obama is gone as President, but that the filth he dragged into the nation, the economy etc., that must also be cleaned up.

I hardly see any America haters on CD, but critics of certain aspects of the US, sure, both realistic Americans and non-Americans alike...
