Imagine for a second that this fellow's clientele sees his truck, thinks that he's an upstanding fellow that they want to do business with and start placing orders. He can't expand, can he? So he's forced to either turn away business or break the promise that brought in the business in the first place.
Why would anyone non-stupid place their business in that position?

A company that bases its financial well-being on the 2012 elections and a single person , rather than customer demand and market forces. This company won't be in business very long as they seem to be unaware of how business works.
Hopefully, customers that are also Obama supporters, will boycott this business to make its failure even more certain.
Quite correct. Actual Business decision makers respond to market demands to determine hiring. If they believe a new hire would result in additional profit either immediately or in the near future, they hire. People that say otherwise are, well, pi$$ing into the wind.

I'll use you as Exhibit A. I applaud your honesty, and why not do it alone if you can. This is why the argument that only small businesses can add jobs is just bogus. They add jobs for many reasons, and taxes are just one of them. Government expenditures, in contrast, usually directly support many middle class jobs. So, axing the government to cut a private business person's taxes will usually not increase employment. It might, but there is absolutely no guarantee.
p.s. I agree that growthmania is a disease of the West. We cannot keep growing infinitely on a finite planet without trashing it or cannibalizing our own society.
Yes, here there is one austerity program after another, cutting government to save money. But what will all those former government employees be doing in the future? Unemployment is high already and most of them won't find new jobs.
And I agree with your last sentence, but growth is a sacred cow as we don't have an alternative, yet, nor are we even looking for one. We will only start looking when we run out of resources...
Regarding the uncertainties about what the future might bring, becoming an entrepreneur is all about taking risks, there are no guarantees a business will be successful.

Do you have experience actually doing that? So many people, who I don't think have even held a career-level job, much less run a business (I have since 1996), are quick to spew baseless platitudes.
Every month I spend between $20 to $50K to buy merchandise, on the risk that I can resell it at a profit and in a reasonable time frame. I am doing quite well, but not as well as I was, and it all started going to hell in a noticeable way shortly after Obama got elected. People don't want to spend as they used to, or hire as they used, to take risk as they used to. It will take a decade to house out and sterilize the nationa and economy of the filth Potemkin Village Idiot Obama dragged in on his filthy boots.
I am not saying your statement is such a platitude, but so much of what the peanut gallery around her spews, is.
