This is perhaps the most poorly reasoned post I've read on this forum to date.

How can Congress enact a law which provides freedom from religion when the very same Congress is prohibited from making any laws which prohibit the free exercise of religion?

It makes sense in the context that the bill of rights applies only to the government. The government is prohibited from limiting our exercise of religion, and it is prohibited from establishing a state religion (freedom from *government* religion).

Is that a valid analogy?

Do you know anyone who claims stamps don't exist or seeks to restrict the rights of others to collect stamps because they find the activity annoying?

Sure.

See, there's proof that stamps exist - there isn't proof that any of the myriad gods people believe in exist.

Freedom from religion is simply a back-handed and sleazy attempt to restrict free exercise.

If someone publicly practicing their religion irritates you, you may take leave of that person, but no other remedy exists under our Constitution.

The bill of rights restricts government - not private actors. Therefore, nothing the constitution says about freedom from religion (specifically, establishing a religion) can apply to a person or private entity - it applies only to the government.

As such, it can't restrict free exercise - indeed, it serves to protect free exercise.

I've never read anything in the Constitution about "freedom from religion".

Government not being allowed to establish a religion frees us from government religion.

So yes, the constitution frees us from religion, and gives us freedom of religion.

So Congress needs to enact a law which prevents them from enacting a law?
