Well according to the news clip there are legal ways he can avoid showing up. He is the president after all. Plus he has a campaign fundraiser planned for Thursday. More important.
My question is why don't they just address this and be done with it? The question lingers until he proves who he is. What happened to all the transparency? I guess the army of lawyers he has on retainer told him different.
Because there are people who won't believe who he is even if they had been standing in the delivery room and watched his birth with their own eyes.
Here's the way I see it. THe Hawaii state officials could have been pressured to accept a less than authentic document. I'm not saying they did or that it was. Just maybe they were.
There are zillions of possible scenarios the "could" have happened. I frankly don't understand why someone seeming intelligent could believe this hogwash, and that's what it is, about this furtive Kenyan birth. There is ample documetation that Obama was born in Hawaii, and NONE from reliable sources that he was born in Kenya.
Why won't moderators put all the idiot birther threads into one thread, sticky it and then if anyone else post another idiot birther thread send them a warning and then ban if they do it again.

The Minor definition of a natural born citizen is going to be presented to the court on the 26th. We could care less if the perpetual defendant ignores the legal subpoena.

Even allowing for your flights of fancy, how would Obama appearing at a Georgia courthouse change that? Would the "pressured" Hawaii state officials be "unpressured"? Do you seriously expect someone in the Georgia court to proclaim, "this birth certificate is a forgery!" ? Seriously?
