But, he gave such a nice teleprompter speech in Arizona, back in Jan of 2010, where he talked about unity and being nice to eaach other. *hug*

But then we have democrats in the US congress making horrible and disgusting public statements, and Obama did not say a peep to quite this awful, divisive rhetoric which came from his own party.

Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) - stating that Republicans came to Washington "to kill women". Obama silent and tacitly approving

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) - stating Republicans want you to "Die quickly" Obama silent and tacitly approving

Rep. Mike Doyle (D-PA) - stating Republicans were "terrorists". Obama silent and tacitly approving.

You'd think that a president, who is concerned about hate-filled public rhetoric, poisoning political and public discourse, would step in and put an end to this foulness from his own party. However, our president prefers to speak in platitudes from a teleprompter, and refuse to get involved when hate-filled comments are made. In fact, this president fans the flames of poisonous, hateful rhetoric, by adding to it with his own divisive comments.

It takes two to tango. Once in office the racists decided they couldn't stomach a person of color in the White House and embarked upon a strategy of interferring with the governing of the country. Given the reaction of those extremists, I think the President's accomplishments have been outstanding. Far beyone what could have been expected, given the irresponsible acts of the GOP and others.

Obama tried to unite the Country but the GOP would have none of it.
The GOP went after him on his birth certificate.
The GOP went after him on his faith and if he was a secret "Muslim".
The GOP tried to label him as a "Socialist" and "Marxist".

As for labeling him as a "failure"? Why don't you ask the Auto Workers in Detroit or the employees of GM ?
Why don't you ask the tens of thousands of troops that have returned from IRAQ because President Obama finally ended the "Occupation" there because I wouldn't call it a War anymore.

I suggest you shut off FOX NEWS and look at the real world instead. President Obama is only "polarizing" to people who disagree with him.

A good part of it sure is. A whole bunch of people - egged on by less-than-civic-minded commentators in the media - decided to crank the crazy up to 11, then tore off the knob. Did you happen to follow the Senatorial race in Nevada, for instance? The 'baggers took over the nomination process and managed to push a guaranteed unelectable woman to the front - a candidate whose only qualification was an ability to say stuff that would p.ss off the liberals. The Republican fringe loved it, of course.

Surprise, surprise: When questioned on substantive matters, she was pretty much unable to formulate a coherent sentence, much less a policy - and Harry Reid handily won re-election.

We're seeing the same unfold on a national level now.

The most polarizing president ever? Really? Seems to me there was once a guy named Abraham Lincoln. Now THAT guy was pretty polarizing.

p.s. He was also the greatest president in the history of this country. F*ck unity as far as I'm concerned. The republi-babies need to stop whining, pay their taxes, or get the f*ck out of the country and go live in the Caymans.

What is this class warfare nonsense? I can't believe how many buy into that ridiculous talking point.

Who are the classes being pitted against each other? The hundreds of millions who aren't earning $1M/year vs the thousands who are? Let's say that's true: how is 99% vs 1% "dividing the nation"?

So what explains Obama's first two years, where the dems controlled EVERYTHING???

Don't use Obama's skin color as a crutch, for your inability to defend him. Don't try to use the legitimate disagreements we have with Obama's political ideology, and legitimate objections he have over his wasteful government spending and his crony capitalism, and disguise it as racism.
