Bruce Alexander, director of communications and governmental affairs with the USDA, said Wednesday the person inspecting lunches was a “North Carolina Education staff member conducting a review of the child care center.”
“The school thought it had been resolved, apologized to the parent and never charged the parent for a school meal,” he said
You know what really ****ing amazes me is how I got to be 6'3" 250lbs of scary man machine on the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I grew up eating in my sack lunches. Jeez friggin Louise.
Your opinion on the reporting style is irrelevant.
Style? LOL
Don't be obtuse.
More like content. Or lack thereof. She didn't even know who she was talking about (the "inspector"). That's not bad reporting style; that's bad reporting.

THANK YOU! Finally, somebody got off their azz and checked out the story.
Funny, though, that it's not exactly as first reported, but that's the nature of reporting and why we shouldn't jump to conclusions.
It does not have to stated why her lunch was eaten. That is irrelevant. The fact is, that this did happen it pokes your accusations all to pot.
Just like NC, chicago has guidelines.....it is a state issue.
You said this is happening in Chicago. Can you provide a link that shows that lunches brought from home are being inspected in Chicago schools? Or would you rather just admit to making an inaccurate statement?
1984 is here folks....................the state disrespects parents - and actually believe that young members of society (children) are property of the state - much like cattle in a field...heaven forbid that the young animal eats the wrong food...what use will these potential slaves be if they do not grow up big and strong - Don't you just hate it when some people in so-called power - want to own not only you but now your kids!

There is another thread on this, that is why it got the mention.
