Do you think I like that statistic either? No I don't. In fact, I'm the one on here saying that when it comes to violence(especially murder) committed by Blacks, Blacks are affected more, because more often than not, it is Black men who are the victims. I've also mentioned that when people mention "Black crime", people mention it as if there are no "Black victims" of crime.
Funny you mention Walter Williams. I have a snippet by Thomas Sowell. I don't agree with alot of what he has said. However, there are some things I can understand, such as the roots of the dysfunctional culture displayed by a segment of the Black population. I recommend reading Black Rednecks and White Liberals, by Thomas Sowell.

It is a fact of life, and it has been going on for a long time.
For some reason when I hear people throw out that stat, I just can't fathom how it could be possible. It just seems very odd that Black men are supposedly out there killing at a rate 10 times that than any other group. I mean that's a big difference, TEN times.
Colin Powell is career military man and people from military backgrounds have a different view on racism and different cultures then the average american.
It's the sign of the political times. Everything is getting more and more polarized. There is an attitude of "if you don't agree with the party platform, you're against us all", almost like a cult mentality. Same exists for the Democratic Party. A very cult-like way of thinking is very common in politics these days. No room for moderate thinking in the eyes of some people.
Maybe the moderates need to form their own political party and put up a fight.
