It's much easier to avoid shopping at a store than it is to avoid somebody pounding on your door - isn't it? So glad I live in a place where they don't allow solicitation!

Besides - Christianity is not forced on anybody - nor heterosexuality.
Homosexuality is being forced on you? If so, I'd suggest filing a police report ASAP.

Oh, I get it, don't watch TV, right? Don't read the internet, don't go to work, dont' go to the mall., don't watch TV. Is that the chose the homosexuals are offerring the rest of us? Not much of a choise if you asked me.

No, I will do what I wish, and if I don't like something. then I will say it.
You can say it until your face turns blue, but private companies will still be allowed to advertise as they wish. And yes, you can stop watching television and reading ads if this really bothers you so much.

I'm not crazy about Christmas being "shoved down my throat" for 2-3 months out of the year, but unlike you I can tolerate beliefs and practices that differ from my own... ignoring it works wonders, or simply accepting that other people celebrate the holiday is also a fairly effective tactic. But noooo, you guys just can't do that! Why?? Is it some kind of egotistical trait, where you think the whole world should cave to your demands?

Who reads comic books? KIDS.

They are trying to make homosexuality seem attractive to any kid old enough to read. It is not ridiculous to say that gays are doing everything they can to be in everybody's face about their lifestyle.

Gays are doing more damage than they realize. And they don't care.
As they shouldn't... do you care what damage Christians have done to this country? You probably don't even realize or acknowledge that damage, since you're too self-absorbed to see beyond your personal beliefs.

FYI, many many adults (myself included) read comics, in fact there's a whole genre of graphic novels intended & labeled for adults. And if you don't want your child reading something, try a little thing called active parenting. As a public librarian, I'm sick of parents expecting us to monitor what their children read!

Sigh...
You sure seem to care how "gay ads" affect people... or do you just not want them to exist because you find them icky? Puuulease.

Yeah, sure you do... that's why you can't stop using the rather explicit phrase of "shoving/cramming it down your throat," LOL.

I agree. Just pointing it out - that many gay people are trying to force their agenda - on kids.

The ad execs for JC Penney are grasping at straws.

The consumer will vote with his wallet, as always.

That depends entirely on one's view of things. If one takes the view that opinion = fact, then sure, our economic woes are because the big bad government forced banks to lend money to poor people. If one instead uses actual facts, the conclusion is quite different. Those loans were in fact fairly safe and most of the problems came from loans that had nothing to do with CRA, but were instead driven purely by the financial industry's desire to increase short term profits by giving out enormous loans that were likely to fail. CRA's contribution to the financial crisis was nonzero, but quite minimal in comparison to the other contributors.
