Up to 96%. Not everyone will get subsidized at that rate. And yes, the middle class, as always, will get the brunt of the taxes.

Yes there is a tax on families making $250K or more a year. There are a host of taxes kicking in 1/1/2013 to start getting money to pay for this when it kicks in 1/1/2014.

Now the bigger question is whether or not Congress will "borrow" that money to spend on other things

Here is the amended law (passed in 2010).

Subsidization by the Fed for those earning up to 400% above the poverty line ($88K for a family of 4)

We know what Obama will go after. Obama will make his own law without the congress.
So we will be like Europe, where everything costs 30% more because of all the taxes to support their health care? So, government imposed inflation?

The democrats don't care, they want more government intrusion. The bigger, the better. The greater the ability to control, the better. Regulation and taxation nation here we come!

LOL care to exaggerate anymore? I work in healthcare and can tell you I just had a great laugh at your post.

There is a shortage of Primary Care Physicians, Nurses are in abundance and Primary Care will be moving to Nurses unless it's serious enough that the person needs to be seen by a Physician. Primary Care is not lucrative for a medical resident anymore. Which is why Internists are going into Hospitalist medicine. 7 days on 7 days off making $230K no overhead.

Thanks.

Add these new taxes to the end of the Bush tax cuts, if Obama is reelected, and we are talking a gigantic tax increase on everyone.

Yes, this is true. Wonder when everyone else will figure this out?

Apologies for my earlier post. Forgot we can amend the constitution to block this over reach of government power. So the republic is not dead after all.

It's not just pay or tax. You are going to get taxed as well. The penalty is just if you don't get insurance.
There are additional taxes because the government is subsidizing premiums.
That is better than what they showed on their website two years ago. The projected premiums were about $150 a month for a lower income single.

So we have a dire economy, and new mandated tax. Woohoo

Congratulations, we've become the highest taxed country on earth, with the least to show for it.

You're right. But its too bad they just dont have the balls and honesty to come right out and admit it. This wasnt about health care at all. This was about expanding the powers of government.

This November is the tipping point for America. We either elect the candidate(s) who is going to repel this thing and CURB the governments over reach, or you re-elect the man who has always thought America should be cut down to size, who always thought the Constitution was a joke. The man who straight up LIED to the American people, to get this thing passed. He lied on whether it was a tax, as well as other things.
