This was a long term ICU hospital where we had only so much capability, when a patient needed more in depth treatment or testing the patient was taken to a near by hospital by ambulance.
You are right and I did what I saw fit and for the best of the patient. I did not care one bit about anything other than that. I caught slack for it at first and this is why I remember it so well. You see the ambulance trip was on the hospitals tab and I better be right. I was given slack, that is, until they were able to test and find that it was sepsis which most times leads to death. In this case it was caught early enough. The reason I was given slack at first is because the symptom were minor? and not text book. The bean counters and pencil pushers will want textbook symptoms. So how long would I have to wait until it fits their definition of "in need of immediate care".
Its not hysteria, and decisions based on the pencil pushers and bean counters is already being done but with Obamacare it will get worse.

How will it be worse? Obama nor his administration does not sell health insurance. Private companies do ans still will.
If it were, we wouldn't be talking about health care reform. Somehow, few seem to care about reform, and those few actually moved forward with you. Unlike the rest of you.

I wish there was never these comprehensive plans, to tell you the truth. That's what caused this. If you had to pay out of pocket for regular care, it would be a LOT cheaper. Sell insurance over state lines. Tort reform. All of those would help but giving everyone and anyone a cadillac health insurance plan is NOT a good idea. All that does is raise costs and taxes for everyone.
We recently had a baby and with a no-complications c-section child birth it was $31,000+! Of that I am on the hook for $7000-$8000.....

Our health costs are out of control, and what the real story is ...WHY?....who knows. The cost of liability insurance?
Malpractice insurance for an OB/GYN can be as high as $200,000 per year.
Well, for those that appreciate the Constitution, LIMITED government, etc yeah, its not been a good day. For those that love when a POTUS lies to your face to get something passed, who expands the powers of the government over our lives, who puts another tax on the people.....yeah, im sure you people are pretty happy. You sick sobs.
For those of us who have attorneys in the family, we aren't surprised by the decision and know it was the right one.
Alas, trying to explain anything to a group of people who call Obama a "socialist" is such an exercise in futility, isn't it.

Obama also derided Hilary in'08 for her health care plan that included a mandate, then he signs one into law with a mandate.

Have we? Last time I checked we have taxes well below what they pay in Europe and Japan. Of course, they have better health care, schools, roads, telecommunications, etc... The US is so far behind in so many areas it's hard to keep track anymore. This health care bill isn't perfect, but it's significantly better than what we had and I for one am quite happy that the SCOTUS decided in favor of it.
Seriously do the math, you might pay less to just pay out of pocket.
If you're paying more for insurance than out of pocket, drop it and pay the penalty. There's no longer any risk under Obamacare. You can get insurance again in case something happens because he removed the pre-existing clause with Obamacare. Law of unintended consequences, it's going to be Obama's bane.
