"""We christians don't need no stinkin' laws! We is CHRISTIANS and laws are for heathens....and anyway we can get around a law we will! It's the christian way! having our tax free churches isn't enough for us tax SUCKINGLeeches!!""""
OK - you don't like Christians - we get that.
You live in a republic where the First Amendment is under attack - just because this specific case doesn't effect you personally - doesn't mean that you shouldn't be concerned. We have become so divided that we have forgotten that the Constitution is meant to protect all of us - not to be used as a bludgeon against people we disagree with.

Reason: personal
All - the Phoenix prosecutor would not go to the extremes that they did for someone who hosted MNF games - people do this regularly - in various location.
Do think the neighbors might complain if you had a party 3 times a week? There is limits to what you can do on residential property and while single large party may be against the law it's not enforced because it's not a constant event 3 times a week. If you were holding a party 3 times week you're going to be in the same position this guy is.

Sure - if the party was disturbing people. Just because the neighbors complained doesn't mean that their complaints were legitamate. People whine and moan about a lot of inconsequential stuff. These people were targeted specifically because of the religious nature of their gatherings.
And you ignored the fact that people hold regular MNF parties and poker games - and aren't dealt with in the manner that the Salman's were.
He did not build a church - not even the city of Phoenix claims that - stop making stuff up.
That's exactly what the city claims, it's exactly what the courts found, and it's exactly what he did. Stop lying - it's un-Christlike.
Let's look at the situation - an ordained priest built a structure complete with pulpit, pews for 40, and a large cross out front. In his own words, once it was erected "we started worshiping in that building every weekend," plus he was holding weekly bible study classes on two other evenings there. This isn't a church how???

You are part of the problem - your hatred and intolerance is noted """""
OH! I'm so scared!!! But I could start a thread(it would take waaaaaaayyyy too much time ) on the loving, tolerant history of christianity.....ya know, with the hate and murders and torture and genocide....
""""- but that shouldn't cloud your judgment so much that you will ignore the attack on our collective liberty.
NOPE! All the speech about liberty is baloney.....christians have to follow laws just like everyone else....but they just WHINE more....

yes , I bet those studying the bible got really loud and obnoxious.
I bet they look the other way when illegals crowd into a house and live there daily.
It is a sad day in America when our freedom of assembly and freedom to practice religion as guaranteed by the First Amendment - and paid for by blood - are being denied and those who assemble and worship are being charged with "crimes" and possibly being thrown in jail.
What about the Freedom get exit a burning building safely? Ironically, it was a tragedy at a Church that prompted such safety rules.
