Only in a fevered imagination could the "perpetrators" of this violence become victims! Now, you're going way, way far overboard. This thing was critical mass.

You are the only one saying the protestors are the victims. Don't try to associate that idea to anyone but yourself.

Really ? And how many are blaming this movie maker for the death of the Ambassador ?
The movied caused the protests, the movie caused the deaths of Americans.

How is that not blaming the movie guy ?

Oh no. Go back through some of yesterday's threads and you'll see that we upset them.
They need time to get used to democracy, not holding them directly responsible for their violent behavior.

It's just that no one came out directly and said it.

The minute that guy's name was released you can bet your bottom dollar that the government now knows what he eats for breakfast and which sock he puts on first.
Ahhh, so the government has surveillance cameras and all the other "high tech" stuff seen in movies trained on this guy. I actually agree that he will be kept under a close eye for awhile, but I think you're again going a little bit overboard in your beliefs regarding what the "government" will do and will not do in a situation like this. My personal opinion is that the "government" probably wants little to do with him, and if he didn't violate his probation, I don't think they're going to waste time and resources following this guy. He's going to be on his own. The taxpayers have no responsibility to protect or hide someone for exercising their right to free speech in the manner he chose to do so.

I think you are wrong here. The government wants everything to do with him.
They are all over the net and ME news saying it's not the USG's fault, it's the movie.

This guy, not US foreign policy or perpetual wars against them, is responsible for all the protests.

The OP didn't say "arrest". Try again.

So, only deport Egyptian criminals? How about all the others?

Let me correct you. There were posts about all Muslims, as a society, and their religion evolving. Nobody said the people who committed this violence were victims and over time they would get used to democracy. Either you are so biased that you honestly interpreted the posts that way, or you are twisting things to support your own opinions.

In fact, it's my opinion that punishing the people who actually behaved in a violent way will be part of their evolution, by learning that there are consequences of actions outside of their religion, and others who see the consequences will learn as well.
