When Cuomo says "Washington" he means you and me. Should Obama agree to pay 100% of the cleanup ? Typical Democrat who says just print more money. All done by union workers.

New York state asks Washington to cover all storm costs - Yahoo! News

Quote:
Governor Andrew Cuomo said he is asking fellow Democrat, President Barack Obama, to pay 100 percent of the estimated $6 billion bill, at a time that state and local government budgets remain constrained by a weak economic recovery.

Nah, just leave everyone to rot and the infrastructure in disrepair. It's cool. Unbelievable.

The clean up yes...... The rebuilding No........ What was roads, houses and infrastructure are now toxic waste, and that needs to get cleaned up before it gets into the Atlantic, and becomes another plastic island swirling in the sargasso sea.

The NJ shore will be changed forever, and some things just won't be able to be rebuilt.

Some people will have to settle for INS pay out and move on. Some of the land is gone and will never come back. That is a risk anyone who buys beach front property assumes. and the wiser ones buy good insurance for it.

Didn't buy any? Oh well sucks to be you........ Uncle Sam should not buy what you had and replace it.

I learned that at 5 years old when I spilled my ice cream cone.

Insurance companies will cover the bulk of cars, homes and businesses. If you didn't have flood insurance, why not?

If we are truly the Christian nation we claim to be then why wouldn't the rest of the country want to help pay for the costs of devastating disasters that happen around the country? This one, Sandy, is too big for any local area to absorb the costs of clean up and that's what our disaster relief funds are designed to do. By the grace of God it could have been you or me....and still could be in the future. Then we'd be the ones glad for the aid of our fellow tax payers.

Yes, we should pay to rebuild the infrastructure and a combination of US TAXPAYERS and private insurers should help rebuild homes. Most definitely.

You built Western Europe after WW2, and you're helping to rebuild all kinds of infrastructure in the Middle East.

So stop with the damn complaining and Pony Up for your fellow Americans and stop crying like a sissy.

I wish people would stop pushing the "we are a Christian nation" BS. We are a nation founded on Judeo/Christian values and laws, that doesn't mean that the government has any claims on your property (including your income) for the needs of others.

I live here, so I will assist my friends and neighbors as I see fit.

Would you be okay with the federal government taking $100 extra from your check this week in order to help? If so, I'll send you my address....send it here. I'll make sure that 100% goes to the needy.

You won't.
