I've never figured out why American Democrats aren't all for proper immigration control. Don't they see that the whole point of letting in all of these illegals is to drive down the demand for their labour and reverse the achievements of the labour unions? Crush the opportunities of the middle class and you have more easy to control serfs.

Excellent point... really....... I live in a family of democrats that are big union types.... you'd think that they'd be huge on wage controls...via not allowing cheaper labor into the country.....

That's right, we're all racists because we're sick of illegals jumping over our borders, smuggling drugs, killing and raping our women, and purposely dropping their anchor babies on US soil just so they don't get deported.
It totally has nothing to do with just wanting a secure country.
I've heard that Mexico has full military guarding their southern border... yet Vincete Fox called America a racists nation because we had an actual immigration policy.
It is kind of a gray area here, since "full military" is a lot more common in Mexico than the United States in terms of domestic crime enforcement, and their Navy is actually the most active in high profile drug arrests, which usually happen nowhere near the ocean.

Because, as liberals learned in 2004, you can't just move to another country, duh! Especially when one of them has an unemployment rate of around 25% and the other not far behind. Even the very few of us on this board who are/would be eligible to move there don't find it realistic finding employment in such high unemployment countries, or in countries where all but one or 2 of us on C-D lack the language skills to integrate and survive in them

Why would I move anywhere with an unemployment rate higher than here? I would consider moving if I had a job though. But it would have to be a good one to make it worth the risk and cost of moving....and then there's the fact I couldn't go to a grocery store and ask where something is or read the labels...I'd have to move somewhere where English is spoken and Americans are not hated....
They've finally come to firm grips with their budget deficits. Spending now roughly equals income. The fiscal house is in perfect order, exactly as people on the right in this country desire in a government. They could not get any more fiscally responsible through any current actions. So why aren't you all moving there in droves?

Honestly, liberal 'progressives' adore preening for the existential camera that makes them feel Holywoodian when crusading for the establishment of a slave-class that will wipe their collective bums for them. Menial labour is for those poor enough to want something better for themselves by breaking immigration laws while supplying cartel dope, subverting economies upon arrival that they think hurts only the rich... I know... I know... but that is how they feel about it, aside from those fuzzy hanging pinatas waiting to be bashed open full of entitlements that will be trickling their way too.
Never forget that with these types you are dealing with the self-proclaimed devout antithesis of who & what they claim are the real enemy. They can't help but be as cravenly crazed as those they oppose in their own minds, their own stances. If you understood socialism, marxism and communism you would understand that the ones seeking utopia are progressives and they have been seeking it for thousands of years.
