They've finally come to firm grips with their budget deficits. Spending now roughly equals income. The fiscal house is in perfect order, exactly as people on the right in this country desire in a government. They could not get any more fiscally responsible through any current actions. So why aren't you all moving there in droves?

Because, as liberals learned in 2004, you can't just move to another country, duh! Especially when one of them has an unemployment rate of around 25% and the other not far behind. Even the very few of us on this board who are/would be eligible to move there don't find it realistic finding employment in such high unemployment countries, or in countries where all but one or 2 of us on C-D lack the language skills to integrate and survive in them

I'd move to Italy in a heartbeat. Trouble is, other countries actually enforce their immigration laws. People can't randomly move to a European country just because they want to, unlike those who move here just because they want to.

Austerity is what happens after Keynesianism fails. Conservatives are trying to prevent the US from someday having to pay 7% interest to T-bill holders.

BS. The GOP believes in military Keynesianism. Why do you think they are trying to prevent military spending cuts and actually expand military spending?

It should actually be Somalia or Haiti where they might find their true "free market." What a panacea for them. I have to think they'll love it there, what with the absence of all those freedom-encroaching programs and regulations. You know, the things that make life here so miserable, like stop signs and food labels and building codes and such. They'll have freedom coming out of their yin-yangs.

Yup. There are plenty of third world hellholes with limited government. I wonder why they don't pack their bags and find their Utopias?

Why don't conservatives move to Spain or Italy?

Probably for like reasons that libruls don't move to Palestine.

Conservatives would fit in better in the Middle East than liberals.
