Think about this... You are in a situation where you are the only person armed with an armed attacker and you draw your weapon, How does the arriving cop tell the difference between you and the other guy?
I own and have a CCW license but I consider strongly anytime I think about walking out of the house with a weapon. I am pretty decent with it and could hit my target based on yesterdays practice. But still when a gun is introduced to a situation it gets serious quickly.
How to tell a good guy from a bad guy? The good guy won't be threatening, they will probably be dressed nice. Their gun will be holstered, often in an expensive leather holster, not always. They will probably be polite.
If you accidentally or purposly cut them off in traffic they will honk to warn you of danger and go on their way. They won't flip you a bird yell vulgar things, or run you off the road or get out at the light with a tire iron. But if YOU do, well, don't.
Good guys won't break into your home, unless maybe if it is on fire. They won't car jack you. They won't be robbing the bank with their ccw. They won't be raping someone. Those are hints that might tip you off to who is a bad guy.
How does a cop tell? Because a ccw holder is TRAINED in what to do at this point. Put their gun away, identify themselves and cooperate. Bad guys don't hold people at gunpoint and WAIT for the cops to show.
AONE, when a gun or weapon is introduced into a situation it DOES get serious. That is why ccw holders are trained to NOT introduce a gn unless they are in imminent danger for death or serious injury - which means the criminal has already introduced a weapon or large disparity of deadly force.
Ccw holders are not associate cops or vigilantes. They don't go looking for trouble. They are folks who just aren't willing to be killed or injured by someone else and have taken reasonable and legal steps to ensure it doesn't happen if they can avoid it.
Yeah, that is look more and more like a bad decision by the courts. Though criminals like Zimmerman always find their way to prison.
Like OJ, who was also found "Not Guilty" and yet ended up in prison, somehow I would bet some here did not agree with that "Not Guilty" verdict. Zimm will end up doing time his many run ins with the law almost assure sooner or later he going to really screw up again and that will be that.
Perfect example. A man that is alive and survived an attack and assault because he had a means of defending himself.
Yep, even trashy worthless j-hole losers like Zimmerman should have the right to protect themselves when someone is on top of them going MMA ground and pound.
Yep, and Zimmerman will find himself back in front of the courts time and time again, criminals like him always seem to find their way to prison.
He already has been, but unlike you and the others, for that one crime he is innocent...see the difference...
No never mind, you don't.
