Yes, it is racist, and I see nothing wrong with that. There are differences between ethnic groups and races. You're just acknowledging it in your dating preferences. If you weren't racist, you would be open to dating anyone from any ethnic background.
Not racist, but RACIAL, because it's based on race, not on perception of inequality or inferiority. There is a big difference.
Can we go just ONE DAY without any racist threads posted in this particular subforum? Yesterday you were talking about how there was never a successful black society or something like that and today is this garbage... don't you people get tired? We all already got your point
I don't think it's passing judgement on a race of people to prefer not to date members of their race.
Neither do I. It's beyond stupid how some people expect everyone to think the same and put aside their experiences and good judgement in order to adhere to some irrational ideal that could be potentially dangerous. Especially for some females where one might even need to avoid her own race, religion and culture due to fear of personal safety.

A better question would be: why is it necessary for someone to prove to others that he/she isn't judgemental/racist/whatever by dating a member of another race? Why should a person NEED to do that at all?

You can sugarcoat it if you want, but if someone has a preference for one race over another for any reason, that is technically "racist". Look it up in the dictionary.

I think it's racist. And this type of racism is typically found in the South. The reason they are not attracted to a person of a different race almost has nothing to do with the person's appearance and mostly with how they will be perceived in public or how well they will be accepted or fit in, all of which are racist reasons. I knew plenty of Caucasian people in the South that found people of a different race attractive but wouldn't date them for societal reasons. Interracial dating is not well accepted in the South. There are attractive people of all races and I think a non-racist person can recognize that whereas a racist person refuses to acknowledge that and will generalize that they can't find someone attractive of a specific race.
I say no. I think it's perfectly reasonable to have dating racial preferences. It doesn't mean you're a racist. What do you think?
You like what you like. Saying you're racist because you're only sexually attracted to people from your own race is like saying you're a homophobe for not being attracted to members of the same sex.
