Then they shouldn't have passed the law.

Period.

The legislature isn't supposed to take chances with our lives, and that's exactly what they've done. This law is a disaster. You were warned before its passage. You were warned after it was passed. You were warned after it was signed into law. Now you're seeing the predictions you claimed were just paranoia or politics coming true.

It never should have made it through congress. Something this big and this sweeping should NEVER have passed with votes from only one party. It should NEVER have passed with opposition from more than half the public. This wasn't some benign seat belt law or something. This is upending the entire health care system, along with the insurance industry. YOU DON'T GET TO DO THAT WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE RAMIFICATIONS OF THAT ACTION. The Democrats did it anyway, we're just starting to see the consequences now, and they're going to pay for it come November.

No, that's not correct. It is a constitutional provision prohibiting the impairment of contract. Your contract for health insurance is subject to unilateral amendment by the provider. And, you can be cancelled coverage. Do you want to keep your current policy? I wouldn't.

I believe what I wrote.

1. He lied. No impartial, independent person can deny that. Why did he lie ?

2. Because he [and many others] believe the greater good is served by a single-payer universal health care system. A spuhc system was politically impossible while the pre-Ocare insurance system existed. The 1st step had to be wrecking that system, including individual policies that didn't meet his essential benefit standards. Ocare would not have passed if he told the truth about keeping existing policies. So, he lied.

Default Another dead-end for you Pubs

Continue to focus on this nonsense, while demonstrating that you still don't have any solutions to help solve the problems that plague this country.

This President doesn't lie. Bush lied and you Pubs distort, deceive, and lie since you got nothin else.

Once again, a lefty demonstrates their inferiority while trying to prove their superiority.

World Wide Words: Bald-faced, boldfaced or barefaced?

Par for the course.

I was just talking to my girlfriend about the comparison that's been made in this thread between Bush/WMDs and Obama/Obamacare.

It seems that Democrats have changed the definition of the word "lie" without informing Merriam-Webster.

American intelligence agencies, as well as those of virtually all the developed nations in the world, thought that Hussein had WMDs. This was supported by people from his own regime. Turns out he didn't have much. Result: Bush lied.

Obama knew that nobody was going to be able to keep their plan. This is supported by people from his own administration. He continued to say the line we're all so familiar with now, anyway, despite the fact that he knew it wasn't true. Result: Obama didn't lie.

And, of course, we can go back a bit further to Clinton. We all know how that turned out for him.

The only conclusion that can be drawn, after looking at these three scenarios from a pragmatic viewpoint, is that Democrats have redefined what a lie actually is, depending on what the meaning of the word "is" is, of course.

Ye, I remember it well...Manson tried to give equal rights to gays and affordable healthcare to the masses. He also made certain that women received equal pay for equal work and then he killed Osama bin laden. Anymore brilliant comparisons?

My point is...they follow him for all the wrong doings. why don't you post all the failures and wrong doings Obama has succeeded in? I guess it out ways the good, which is good in your eyes.first of all, Bush started the ball rolling after 911 which led to the death of Bin laden...and no! Obama didn't kill him,the Navy Seals did. lets not get started on the big health care failure. Gays!!! is that the most important issue in this country? Your not convincing at all!
