It's all part of the same misguided approach to the world.
Why were we in Iraq? A bunch of lies and "he tried to kill my daddy."
Mind our own damned business and take care of the US. Period.

We sort of are the world's babysitter. It's in the best interest of South Korea that we would be there when a war breaks out. SK could beat NK, but I can guarantee NK is a lot less afraid to take advantage of SK when the US isn't backing SK up.
What part of we need to stop being the world's babysitter do you not understand?
All sorts of warmongers sit at home in their comfy chairs in front of their computers and want others to do their dirty work.
Apparently you're one of them.
Congratulations.

Wow Japan was so innocent. I guess they were visiting China and Korea with a tourist visa?

Sanctions are an act of war and our troops have no business in S. Korea.
Read up on how threatened america was by the possibilty of russian missles in cuba.
North Korea will not be attacked by the U.S. unless N.K. attacks first and the missiles in Cuba would have been a huge threat to the U.S. Why do you think the Soviet Union wanted them there? The S.U. did not have missiles that could reach deep within the Continental U.S. at the time and missles in Cuba gave them this capability, not to mention the political statement it made. I lived through it, scary times.

NK has a huge army. A manpower of 9,500,000 (including the paramilitary) Would it even be possible to occupy this country via SK or would air strikes be the only option?

Smoke screen diversion. Nobody's taking NK seriously so why even waste time talking about it. We have our own Lil' Kim to worry about.... Lil' Obama.
But take a good look at NK and you see where we're headed if we don't start getting our government straightened out.

Firstly you weren't alone over there, secondly the green U.S. replacements and South Koreans were in full retreat and storming south of the 38th after suffering "terrible losses" with episodes like over 60 odd of your new arrivals being killed in their sleeping bags without even posting a night watch.

Battles like this one using battle tested WWII troops who were tremendously outnumbered by the Chicoms saved the day:

Battle of Kapyong - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Read that entire link and pay special attention to the part where while one American Lieutenant in charge of five shermans stuck around throughout a bitter battle he still had to withdraw eventually when the New Zealanders and Autralians he was supporting became surrounded whereupon one entire U.S. morter company simply fled the area leaving all of their weapons and vehicles behind. Yeah, you really showed 'em alrighty.

You destroyed no one. The U.N. fought them to a draw and suffered terribly doing so.

All sides agreed to the armistice because they were fugging tired!

Explore and research some history instead of parroting crap you've heard all your life.
You know, one possible act of cowardice, and I say possible because we do not know what circumstances surrounded their reason for abandonment, does not tell he story of the bravery of other young Americans.

He just wants aid money and threatening during Daddy and Grandpa's regimes had previously gotten humanitarian aid sent without those pesky human rights folks attached. The North Korean people need aid as much or more than any African country but Dear Leader would never want his people exposed to people from other countries.
