are you actually arguing that democrats want to take your guns away for the hell of it ? How would that help democrats ?
It's pathetic and sad if you actually believe that. Democrats saw a tragic incident and thought they could make political gains from it, period.

How exactly is banning firearms that weren't used in that incident a solution? It wasn't, it was nothing more than the anti gun people to try and push their agenda using the deaths of those children.

That's just plain absurd. It wasn't in effect for 220 years before that.

The SCOTUS never ruled on the AWB. They did say in the Heller case that all arms in common use are protected. The AWB bans the most popular, common arms.

Probably to make it easier to murder citizens without trial when they present challenges to their thirst for power, as obama is doing today.

Intervening in what? So far as I know, there have been no new gun control laws enacted since Newtown.

Are they trying?

Lets look at all the interventionism, that has limited our rights to be free from the king. Not what they are trying with our right to protect ourselves from tyranny.

The number of people buying guns isn't on the rise, those with guns already are buying more of them.

The number of first time buyers of firearms is up in big numbers. Women making up the bulk if first time firearm buyers.
