It may be "boilerplate" but it is wrong advice for any day or age!
It reminds me of growing up in the Catholic church. Pump them babies out to keep the schools and pews filled and the collection plates overflowing. Being able to afford them is NOT the church's problem or concern.
Not as dumb as saying you wouldn't want to punish your daughter by them having a baby.
As for dodging a bullet,no. We are pretty much screwed. The only saving grace is the staunchest Obama voters are suffering the most.

If recent graduates are unable to pay college loans how in hell are they supposed to pay for raising children? Do all the other Mormons contribute to each other so they can have as many children as possible? I did not hear him proposing some way to have a full employment society. I only heard about his full unemployment economy based on the first principles of Mammon or was that Mormon?
Mitt Romney is so out of touch with the average American that it never occurred to him that some of the graduates can't afford to have children any time soon and maybe not ever. Of course, if all of the students followed his advice, some of them would inevitably become the moochers he so disdained in his 47 percent speech.
I thought his advice was to be the self made son of a rich governor?
