In his remarks, Obama said it was “healthy for our democracy” to have an open discussion about the balance between privacy and security concerns but also said he rued the leaks of classified information that prompted the current debate.
Obama defends sweeping surveillance efforts - The Washington Post

Obama: "So, let's talk about what you know (now) and have a legitimate discussion on if it's right or wrong."

Random Person in the Crowd: "What more do we not know?"

Obama: "Please reply in email format so that we can talk about that a little more."

How can anyone discuss what they don't know ?

Sure..let's have an open discussion and debate on Top Secret government programs.

The problem is for some it's much easier to blame the past and others than to actually grow a backbone and admit they're partly responsible for what's happening today and what will happen tomorrow.

As you'll see over and over from some it's "well they/he/she did this which was wrong so...." instead of owning up to taking the election process as either a "chore" to be done as fast as possible with as little effort as possible (if voting at all) or looking to electing someone so as to benefit themselves with "stuff".

Anyone who voted for Obama or Bush is responsible in part for the police state that were now just inside the door to not to mention anyone who votes party lines instead of the individual people.

Until such a time as people take voting seriously and actually understand the issues we'll keep getting exactly what we deserve.

Bush was never "in charge." Just like Obama is not "in charge."

The same people who controlled Bush's puppet strings control Obama's. And controlled Clinton's. And Daddy Bush's. And Reagan's.

So now "our lives are no more or less different" under Obama, yet under Bush the world was coming to an end.

Funny, I can't seem to remember so many scandals under Bush;
- IRS Admitting to political bias and targeting enemies of this administration, while stealing millions for lavish conventions.
- EPA now suspected of targeting conservative groups, accusations of political bias.
- DoJ, The list is too long. When Arianna Huffington calls for Holder to resign; that's BIG trouble.
- GSA's embezzlement of millions
- FDA regulation being steered by Monsanto. Conflict of interest and accusations of spying.
- igorance of Fort Hood terrorst Hasan's links to radical Islamists
- Russia's warnings about the Boston bomber Tsarnaev going completely ignored
- Benghazi and the following coverup
... and on and on.

That was just off the top of my head. I can't ever remember being able to think of so many national security, constitutional, and legal chicanery issues by a single administration.

"you guys are just paranoid and negative"

As opposed to being oblivious and ignorant. I'd say there's plenty to be paranoid and negative about.

Chris "tingle up my leg" Mathews claims "Obama has not broken any law, he's never done anything wrong"

Smoking pot and doing cocaine is illegal, and Obama admitted to doing that. We have to wonder what he won't admit to.

It's mind boggling to see just how much Obama supporters will ignore and deflect to preserve their fearless leader. This is Nixon all over again, only this time it's the press who are protecting rather than exposing him. No matter what he does, they won't complain about it.
