I guess your inside knowledge trumps all theirs? What happened to the doctors know what is right? Her own doctors also said they wanted to do it.
After many years of trying, transplant surgeons came to realize that adult sized lungs in a small body does not have good results. The lungs literally do not have enough room to expand during inhalation. In addition, removing some of the lobes so that the lungs would fit did not work well either.

The news reports that the girl has a paralyzed diaphragm and cannot breathe on her own. They plan to do surgery for this. I wonder if she has no room in her thorax to properly inhale and the surgeons are going to try to "dome" her diaphragm somehow.

Do you not understand that DOCTORS set the protocol for transplants?
Do you not understand the Sebilius said that she WOULD NOT over ride the doctors?
Do you not realize that a JUDGE over ruled the DOCTORS.
Not the person who is running Obamacare, but the JUDGE.

I am beginning to think it is hopeless. They realize only what comes out of the mouths of Fox News, Hannity, or Limbaugh! What they fight for, and against, doesn't even make sense anymore.

Again... To complain about the obstruction of government here and then demand for universal healthcare where the government bureaucracy is the pinnacle of decisional process, well. you have to be a special type of stupid.

Look, I am with you here. The doctors should have the say, the doctors and the patients in the end should be deciding factor, but hey... this is what you get when you put government into the picture.

Can't have it both ways, pay attention next time.

Yes, that is what it is... keep blaming everyone esle... I promise you the results you see here will be much more common. Then you can throw tantrums some more, complain, and point fingers again.

Worship your masters. This is what YOU wanted. This is what YOU will have.

Sit down, shut up... enjoy!

Again, let me remind you that Kathleen Sebelius was against any government interference with the transplant protocol.

I think we all can agree that this child is a sad story. If it were our own child we would clutch to any chance to prolong her life. That is why decisions should not be made on an emotional basis. This child is being tortured over and over for the gift of a few months. Mean while candidates who stand a chance to gain years or decades wait and wait.
I am a cancer survivor. I benefited from a bone marrow transplant from my son. I get the need to try anything, to hope and pray for the miracle. At some point we need to accept that it is time to pull the plug.

These events are a tragedy for the family and the entire organ donation program.

Quote:
The problem with cases like Sarah Murnaghan's is that they actually discourage organ donation because they convince the public that politicians, journalists and other powerful people control the process. That is a particularly acute problem in the black community, where there is a huge shortage of donors, partly because black families do not trust the hospitals to do what is right with their recently deceased loved one's organs.
The sad irony, then, of the hysteria around Sarah Murnaghan's plight is that it may create more Sarah Murnaghans. I understand the concern that people like Sebelius are going to be making more and more life-and-death decisions under Obamacare and the Independent Payments Advisory Board. But the organ issue is one area where the government has already constrained its own power--and Sebelius, wisely, obeyed.
Ace is Right, and so is Kathleen Sebelius, on Sarah Murnaghan
