Wrong. Not surprisingly, you are completely and utterly wrong. As even the most conspiracy-sodden history text will tell you, Jimmy Carter is the President during whose tenure the Panama Canal Zone ceased to exist and was incorporated into the Republic of Panama. China had nothing to do with it.
In 1977-1981, China was about as powerful as Laos is today.
And if China has "taken over" the Panama Control, riddle me this: why is it now seeking to build a second canal through Nicaragua that would compete directly with "its own" Panama Canal?
